Channeling the techniques of krautrock and ambient music greats, Austin-based experimental artist Michael C. Sharp is back with a new full-length odyssey entitled Synth Vehicles for Guitar. From syncopated, beat-driven tracks to washed out soundscapes, the album’s electronic-tinged themes are cohesively carried throughout the mood variations with narrative finesse. As Sharp’s prolific output of loop-based synth and guitar explorations continue to evolve, this multi-instrumentalist and founding member of cosmic ensemble Sungod continues to churn out some of the best in modern psychedelia.
