Enjoyed doing this, figured there was enough going on in the low end to dispense with a structured bassline. There's a wee jazz guitar solo hidden in there and some more granular treated guitar towards the end.
Guitar: Suhr Custom Classic through NI GR6 and Arturia Fragments.
Synths: NI Playbox, Karanyi LoFi Keys, Labs Cello, Spitfire BlankFor.
Piano: Spitfire Cinematic.
Drums / bass: NI Battery 4 and NI Empire Beats.
Master: Ozone Elements.
DAW: Ableton.

For retuned mandolin, synthesizer, feedback and room resonance. The piece was not concieved as a winter soundscape but it all seems to make sense and the title too. Perhaps tomorrow there will be another new one with rebab (which I have been composing/preparing for all last week) and wind instruments, other captures. Who knows. It's like the weather. Checking in with you all tomorrow.

I recently came across a number of "abandoned" recordings on my old macbook. These are tracks or sketches dating back to various periods (from around 2018 to 2020) and they all have piano as their main audio source.
The original recordings (some previously dubbed on tape) were then heavily processed in Ableton Live and recently reworked to make them (more or less) consistent with each other.

The result is in some way a collection of raw sounding sketches which, however, well represent my interest at that time in creating an opus starting only from piano sounds and loops. Only a few processed field recordings have been added (however recorded by acting on the body of the piano) and just a touch of Minibrute on track 2 and Volca FM on track 3.

In 2011 I did a huge diy restoration of my beloved old Arp Odyssey II synthesizer & added a bunch of mods (fear not, I didn't drill any holes: added the switches where the interface jacks had been).  This was made as a quick demo.
