LOCKIGE OSTSEE:
Als gebürtiges Ostseekind hat Stephan jederzeit den Strandsand zwischen den Zehen und fühlt sich in der Nähe des Wassers einfach am wohlsten. Lockig wie einst seine Haare versprüht er seit seinem 18. Lebensjahr den Discovibe. Gestartet als Trashmaster 3000 in früheren Zeiten, machte er sich auf so mancher 80er und 90er Party in seiner Heimatregion beliebt. Nach vielen Experimenten hat er 2015 seine liebe zur langsamen, elektronischen Musik entdeckt. Der von ihm liebevoll genannte "Trash" spiegelt sich aber immernoch wieder und so findet man in nahezu all seinen Mixen etwas aus den vergangenen Jahrzehnten. Gepaart mit einem schwungvollen Elektrobeat, zieht er mittlerweile viele Zuhörer:innen in seinen Bann und ist nicht mehr nur an der Ostsee zu hören. 2018 gründete er mit seinem @Faultierbuddy @Stelzenlaeufermusic die @Faultierdisko in Rostock und wurde so auch über die Grenzen Mecklenburgs hinaus bekannt.

As I biked into deep playa looking for the majestic glowing Maxa deer on Friday night, I kept thinking about how I found out that the reason the deer art car is a deer, is because the legend of how the Mexican tribes found peyote goes that a blue glowing deer appeared and showed them the way to the plant. 

This, of course, as it was told to me when I paid a visit to the Maxa camp a year before the 2024 Burn, after biblical rains paralyzed Black Rock City and decimated my dreams of playing on the Maxa deer… at Sunrise. 

Good things are worth the wait and as I took control of the glowing myth and spirit of the magical deer, I was surrounded by the most amazing crowd in the front, around and behind me. 

This is the musical story of that night, my last and highly proud set of Burning Man 2024. Enjoy!

Welcome to Episode 5 of HoloFlow: Vibe Snapshot.

This month kicks off with an hour from my set at Elevation on April 5 at House of Yes. It’s a peak-time blend of indie dance, chugging basslines, and flashes of hip-hop-inspired rhythms and vocals captured in the glow of a packed Saturday night.

Our second half features a guest mix from two standout DJs and curators: @matthias-kunze and @herroppermannhh. Based in Hamburg, they co-curate @klangextase-1, a globally respected mix series built around emotionally resonant, story-driven electronic music.

Their journey spans clubs and festivals across Europe and South Africa, with sets at Uebel & Gefährlich in Hamburg, Modular in Cape Town, and Juicy Beats Festival in Dortmund. As producers, their work has been released on labels like @tachundnacht, @deep_storys, and @ambermusiclabelgroup. 

Together, they craft mixes that evolve with care and intention. Their contribution to this episode is immersive, layered, and full of feeling.

Welcome to Episode 6 of HoloFlow: Vibe Snapshot with Special Guest ARY SYA.  

We kick this month off with some peak-time melodic business, featuring hooky vocals and strong basslines that I find get my emotional wheels turning.  

For our second half, I'm proud to spotlight @ary-sya, a rising star in the indie and melodic house scene. With over 30 releases to his name, you've probably most recently been hearing @wearechambord's remix of his track "Lucid Water" getting rinsed by some of our favorite DJs.

Ary Sya’s journey began with residencies in the South of France, where he developed a style characterized by lush, melodic layers, intricate percussion, and a subtle fusion of his French and Middle Eastern roots. He has a talent for weaving emotive melodies, organic textures, and hypnotic rhythms. 

As his reputation grew, so did his reach, taking him from local dancefloors to international stages. Notable highlights on the journey so far include: @ rufusdusol spotlighting his track “Dumeya” out on @myothersideofthemoon and @Solomun featuring his Back to the Moon EP on @wearemaneki in his sets.

Other milestones include his track “My Silence,” released on @adriatique acclaimed @siameserecords label, further establishing Ary as an artist who is on to something.

I've had his mix on repeat while writing this, and I'm genuinely excited to welcome him this month.
