Our next installment comes from Elan Vital Collective founders, Father Figure. The Project began in 2017 as the solo project of DJ/Producer, Matt Weishaupt. In 2022, longtime live collaborator, Matt McLaren, expanded into the engineering and production space. The now DUO is Influenced by both Golden Era NY Hip-Hop producers, like J.Dilla, DJ Premier, Pete Rock and the electronic and jam scene. Their sonic collages run the gamut stylistically from Electro Soul to Hip Hop to House and everything in between.

Local to Odessa, Delaware, Mike Barry sculpts, manipulates, and designs compositions of various styles to express emotional feelings, periods of time, and experienced circumstances to create an "audio journal" for future reflections.

With styles ranging from Electro-Soul, Lo-Fi, Experimental Bass, House, D&B, Ambient/Downtempo, and more, this melting pot of sound and emotion has something that anyone can enjoy, anytime, at any place.

Back from the mountain. New batch of music out this week and every week thereafter till I run out. Old and new. Plus a lil artwork and a couple videos for some of the music each week. Probably. Hopefully.

I know it’s taken long, I only had a couple thousand ableton and fl studio projects to trawl thru and fix and arrange and bounce. Then just as I was reaching the end of the quest, I broke my computer/fried my circuits and it set me back in every which way. But I got it sorted then took a holiday and now I’m past caring so really wanted to purge cos this week it’s my bday, I got back to London tonight, I saw an eclipse, I feel good, I’m moving in to a new crib, it all feels apt xxx

If anyone wanna contribute their skills to this mission then now’s your time cos I do EVERYTHING myself (i.e producing, videos, graphics, mixing, mastering, editing, admin etc.) Along w with all the other life shit going on, sometime music hafi take a back seat, but for now we locked in gang 🤞
