Actually, we think it’d be pretty chill if he took the reigns on the “the world’s unique soundtrack” and made it sound a little more like this velvety, floor-shaking, party-starting, spooky, hypnotic house track GHOST he delivered us on the back of a singing Alec Ounsworth from Indie Rock Band CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH.

Our latest release by our Spanish friends, Ed One & Bodden. Their “Do It” was the best selling track last year on Andre Crom’s OFF Spin label and it’s easy to see why. Their combination of heavy garage beats and catchy-as-hell hooks make their productions a big favourite with loads of DJs. 

This song - “I Can’t Feel” - first appeared as a remix Kevin McKay did on the Glasgow Underground Miami 2015 compilation and picked up support from the likes of Luvstuff, Russ Chimes, Graeme Park, Blonde, Yam Who?, Steve Parrym, Per QX & Dale Middleton. 

After a lot of waiting, we can finally release the full set of remixes. First up is a killer remix from Glasgow's young stars Illyus & Barrientos. Sounding very much like they've fully embraced Back To The Future week and jumped in Marty's Delorean, raided the Stricty Rhythm sample banks of George Morel, Armand Van Helden and Erick Morillo and brought them back to 2015 for a heavy night out at the Sub Club, this is one badass groove that should have places bouncing from now till well into 2016.

Kevin is a massive fan of this vocal and so couldn't resist having another shot at it. His original remix was designed for sunshine dancing in Miami. This new one is a bit deeper, filled with lush strings and a breakbeat breakdown and one to play on the way up to (or way down from full-on madness ;) Last but not least, we have the beautiful, radio-friendly, Dusky-esque original.

Kings Of Tomorrow feat April - Fall For You - Defected

Detroit legend Rick Wade joins the Piston stable with a stunning deep house release. Rick aka Big Daddy Rick and Dr. Low-Tech has literally released hundreds of tracks throughout his career on almost 50 different labels since the mid 1990's. He is also owner of Harmonie Park Records which specialises in deep house and has been running this label since 1993. Born just outside Chicago's South Side he started spinning in the mid 80's in the same club where Jeff Mills was cutting his teeth. From there he went on to run his own show on WCBN and gained a name for himself on the circuit to this day.

Kicking us off is the title track "Night Flyer", a super cool and sophisticated slice of deep house, nice steady rhythm with the arrangement backed up with little funky guitar licks. The deep vibe is generated from the wonderful synths that lock you into the sound beautifully.
"Berlin Days is a slightly more hard edged sound with a harsh, infectious bassline over some well crafted drum patterns. There is also a slight shuffle here that adds character to the sound with a high pitched string giving a contrasting vibe.

"The Well" is a true representation of the quite unique style in which Rick delivers us his sound. We have the deep house vibe on the organ, bass and drums, but there is a whole 1960's type thriller movie sound in here also which works so well. The background flute and strings coupled with the spoken word is something very different from the norm but something that will keep any floor on the move.
