Bigitam & Mementomor - Lying Sun

"New Moon" is a two-track EP that captures the artistic journey Amigdala has traveled to bring this project to life. With a fat, groovy bassline and deep, theatrical melodies that evoke profound emotions, each note is infused with musical wisdom.

The opening track, "New Moon," takes listeners on a mysterious, immersive journey. It flows through hypnotic elements, symbolizing the bond between earth and spirit, united in harmony to represent the moon.

This piece was created by techlab.bp members slym and szoliver for the final edition of Hungary’s Kolorádó Festival, held deep in a forest near Budapest. They had the honor of closing the legendary Csodaszarvas Stage forever, and composed this track as the opening moment of their set.

The stage’s name refers to the Csodaszarvas (“miraculous stag”), one of the most ancient symbols in Hungarian mythology. According to the myth, the stag led the ancestors of the Hungarians on a journey to new lands, becoming a timeless emblem of guidance, destiny, and the search for community.

In that same spirit, this track was written as a musical invocation of transition and unity, a final call to gather, journey, and celebrate together under the forest canopy, before the Csodaszarvas Stage passed into legend.

Many record labels were founded during the Nineties when the Psy-Trance scene experienced its most massive expansion. Undoubtedly many of them made an important contribution to Trance culture - but in the end, barely any survived up to today. In this respect, HOMmega Productions is unparalleled: Founded already in 1997 by Dj Eyal Yankovich (RIP), Moshe Keinan, and Meir Cohen, HOMmega not only became one of the richest in tradition labels of the scene but also one of its strongest driving forces.
Hommega’s roster through the years included key artists to the development of the Psytrance scene such as Astrix, Infected Mushroom, Cosma, Xerox, Sub6, Juno Reactor, PsySex, Yahel, Pixel, Domestic, Space Cat, Skazi, and many others. The label's two series of compilations "Full On" and "Israliens" (both reached 7 volumes), were instrumental to the development of the Psytrance sound.
