Terrence is a London-based DJ and visual artist originally from New York City. Inspired deeply by the eclectic mixing style of house music’s early DJ’s and his years spent as a dedicated dancer in NYC's queer house/techno scene, Terrence has crafted an approach to music that is tension-heavy, psychedelic and leftfield yet decidedly soulful. He cut his teeth DJing at house parties, after hours and clubs around NYC including Trans-Pecos, Black Flamingo and Fotografiska’s Chapel Bar.

I can’t quite recall when I first became aware of electronic music or my deep connection with it. My father was a DJ, so music was always present, but growing up during the ‘80s meant witnessing a technological revolution that transformed art and culture in unimaginable ways.

Around ’89-90, I realized just how important dance music was to me. One standout memory is hearing “French Kiss” by Lil Louis on a mixtape my father played in his car. From that moment, electronic music—especially dance music—became my constant companion.

As a child, I loved dancing, so it felt natural that dance music became a creative outlet for me. Over the years, my creativity has expanded beyond music, but that’s a story for another time.

One genre that’s had a major impact on me is House Music. By 1995, I realized how sophisticated and cool it was, particularly in contrast to what was popular in Spain at the time. By 1998, I’d amassed a solid music collection—mostly Ministry of Sound compilations, Ibiza mixtapes, and CD singles I could blast on my bedroom soundsystem.

That summer, I traveled to London and discovered @dannytenagliaofficial , an artist who blew me away. I was lucky to find him early because it took 2-3 more years for his music to break into Spain. My curiosity about electronic music led me to explore Chicago, NY, and Detroit House, techno, electro, and minimal, among others. Still, House Music has been my constant. Trends shift, but whenever I need comfort, I turn to House classics—Chandler, Knuckles, Craig, Morel, Morales, Rolando, MAW, and more. I still have much to learn about House, but I’m excited to keep exploring.
