The first in a series of various artists to be released by Details Sound - The Spirit Of The Age Vol. 1 is a personal attempt to represent "the spirit" of this moment, an eye on the sea, where the initial intention of powerful and dynamic body music is changing, leaving room for a more contemplative and reflective way of dancing, where large places give space to the little ones, taking back the original spirit of being together.

On the A side, Anatolian Weapons opens with A Series Of Changes - a progression of looped vocals and acidic basslines that culminate in a full, liberating rhythm. Following A Hand Modern Cage focuses on a more hypnotic and evocative soundtrack that can perfectly match an atmospheric opening.

On the flip Gamma Intel’s Note To My Love deliver a mix of broken and electro rhythms that are part of the artist signature sound, ending with an intricate weave of melodic basslines. The last track Dense And Ragged is signed by the renowned london-based duo Vactrol Park who set the mood for a distopyan trip in 2049.

This time last year I was on my way to the Waiting Room while I was tuned in to Capital Xtra when I was blasted by a guest mix which sounded utterly insane. I found out it was Alinka and Shaun J Wright putting together the mix and i was hooked. 
Twirl is becoming something of a stateside institution in terms of the releases being put out and it is easy to see this one being played out for months to come.

We have been observing your world from a distance for some time under the guise of a series of transmissions known as ‘mixtapes’ as a method of research, via digital interaction with your intriguing species.

A musical initiative that aims to raise credits in support of some of the most vital humanitarian services and organisations. Cabezas’ new EP “Raya” is a distillation of the conversations that have shaped him over the last decade. From the Danceteria-ready sheen of “Madonna” to the nocturnal-italo pulse of “Sergio”, Cabezas covers a wide swath of sonic ground, starting in almost-familiar places and spiraling out into the unknown.
This is Cabezas’ second EP, following up his 2018 Börft Records release "Mi Calle". 
Born in Chile and living in Sweden, Patricio Cabezas is a multi-talented musician/producer. After years as a touring bass player, he recommitted himself to electronic music, trading his pickups for a circuit board in search of the boundaries of sound.
Since childhood Cabezas has thrown himself into the in-between. With a life of hybrid timezones, cultures and identities, his approach to music is similarly liminal. Driven by discovery and experimentation, Cabezas hybridizes genres, themes and instrumenta- tion to create electronic music that lives on the edge, built for the mains, headphones and everywhere in between.
