About the EP:
Despite their polarising musical and geographical insularities, Tokyo based WRACK and Berlin based Max Dahlhaus have joined force to put out their first collaborative EP 'No Hiraeth' on Absurd TRAX, weaving the rather melodic and beat based sound by WRACK into the textured layers of brutalist and scrappy sound designs by Max – in turn transforms into a collection of club tools that underpins their musical geniuses while sonically transcending them to the ends of sound spectrum that neither artists have ventured until this synergistic artistry exchange.  

The EP receives remixes by the Moscow based artist Summer of Haze, who produced a rave approach on 'Serendipity', and Nerve from Hong Kong, who takes the already noisy elements of 'No Hiraeth' and catapults everything onto a different level of distortion.

We, nineteen Czech & Czechia based producers, are in unison against the aggressive occupation and invasion of a sovereign country of Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, Russian troops invaded Ukraine, masking the operation as a "peacekeeping mission”. On August 21, 1968, our country was also invaded by the Soviets and Warsaw Pact armies. The occupation lasted over four more decades.

The duo presents a sound design show-off consisting of raspy stretch algorithm artifacts, vocoded pulses and slimy granular flurries. Rhythmically, high impact overdriven kicks and syncopated motifs give the tracks a high energy urgency and momentum. Simmering, crusty chopped up break beats accompany stroboscopic pads, glistening metallic percussion and sweeping electro-acoustic gestures. Maneuvering naturally between almost snapping, bursting, fragmenting passages, effervescent glistening chords sometimes emerge, ready to get whacked by mangled, contorted drum machine outbursts.

Inaugural episode of my new radio residency at Operator began in the Jan 2022, I started with chaos in deciphering new faces and fringes of experimental music, club and not. ( I have also been shite, at uploading them so uploading them all over the next couple of days ) 

Episode I descends straight into blithering hard rave, trance and industrial techno stylings of the East Coast.

My first guest, the highly underrated, @viperblond, hails between Montreal and Toronto, and recorded a relentless hardstyle and trance mix. Viper Blond also has a show on n1c.las radio every last Sunday of the month. You can explore Viper Blond's industrial design and artworks in her experimental studio, 4x4bunny on instagram <<< utterly beautiful, stark and raw.

One of New York's techno backbones and a huge inspo, Brooklyn--based @hardkore_mf , sent in the other guest mix. The mixes musical styling focus is self-described as," anything with a nasty beat".

My mix goes hard.
