While having created her own signature sound inside the DJ booth, she has now also moved her vision on music into the
studio. After two successful collaborations with Ben Pest on labels such as Earwiggle, a self released collaboration on her own label Wigs, and multiple single released tracks on different VA’s, IMOGEN now lands her first solo EP »What?« on Voitax.
According to her own description, this EP is her first bulk of music after having experienced a persistent writing blockage during the pandemic. While eventually being isolated for five days, each of these tracks were produced in a stream of inspiration. The EP presents a strong package of five tracks that clearly reflect the influence of her homelands prosperous electronic music heritage.
A distinguished set of breaks are fusioned with Electro, IDM, and Hardcore without ever loosing touch to its groovy rhythmics. While this release is certainly loaded with strong dance floor material, the quality of her production process remains remarkable. The roughness and edginess of the entire EP reveal a strong connection to her 808 and modular system, that helped to create unique textures and granular soundscapes. Instead of resampling UK sample packs over and over again, IMOGEN is ambitious to create her own signature sound through a sequence of personalized studio equipment. With this approach she manages to fusion a punky style of 90’s rave culture with sophisticated futuristic sound processing. Each track meets a different atmosphere, as the approach to rhythm, speed, sound and arrangement evolves from the beginning to the end - yet, they all remain part of the same story.

The artist we have invited to join the SPEED Mix Series family for this edition is none-other than Naarm-based DJ Kaytseng. 

Ever since making the jump from Taipei to Naarm, the often dark, gritty and playful nuances of Kaytseng continue to impress and amaze the city's electronic music community. Capable of exhibiting a blend of everything from floor-shaking techno beats to high-speed trance rhythms, Kay has secured a multitude of high-profile slots in recent years - supporting the likes of Mama Snake, DJ Spit & Schacke as well as performing regularly across Naarm's most loved venues and raves. 

Aside from quickly becoming a figure of prominence in the local scene, Kay's ability behind the booth has generated thoroughly deserved mix opportunities for both CRUDE Berlin and Boiler Room - gracefully sending the oscillations of her well-known style to the ears of music lovers worldwide.

Entre Ghetto Techno, Electro et Footwork, la DJ Swooh détient l'alliance parfaite pour faire frétiller l'ensemble de nos muscles et de nos synapses. L’artiste Swooh ne s’arrête pas seulement au mix puisqu'elle produit également des tracks et vient de lancer son label «  Purple Records ».
Pour ce 34ème podcast Tecnhopol Mix, Swooh s’est relevé le défi de nous proposer quelque chose d’unique en son genre ! La sélection des tracks sont, pour certains, plus minimalistes qu’à son habitude, avec beaucoup de drums, de percussions et de vocales.

Next Honeybee on the decks is the iconic @iva-mechkarova🌶️

Iva Mechkarova is a Dublin-based DJ who focuses on the faster ends of electronic music. Her sound ranges from (but is not confined to) industrial techno, trance, and EBM with her mixes regularly featuring anything from hard kicks, dark synths to euphoric melodies and uplifting vocals.

Since Iva’s first gig in 2020, she has gone from strength to strength and now holds a residency with Manifest. She has gigged all over Ireland, as well as internationally in Glasgow and Berlin and has shared lineups with SNTS, Charlie Sparks, SHXCXCHCXSH, and Metaraph!

Here is what she said about this mix - “I wanted to focus on bringing the listener on a journey of emotions by selecting a range of euphoric and melodic tracks. My goal was to showcase my softer, trancey side as I have a large collection of sounds that I don't usually get to play in a club.”

Avec ses deux potes d’enfance il fonde Flirt Collectif avec qui il organise des soirées dans Paname, et depuis peu a lancé le label Flirt Records, orienté musique de club, break, trance, avec le Various artistes « pour un Flirt avec toi » et des artistes comme Young Lychee, Mathis Ruffing, DJ Mischkonsum, DJ karawai, lv Amaj et bien d’autres

l’année dernière il fonde également Simple.Simple.Simple.Records avec son pote New Dawn Fades aka End of mortal Life, ils marquent leur entrée sur la scène musical avec leurs premier Va « Faites de la musique » sortie le jour de la dernière fête de la musique, label orienté musique expé, deconstruct club avec des artistes comme Bloof of Aza, DJ Varsovie, Xl.Iks, Same O, Alkini et bien d’autre ...

Shanghai-born, Ireland-based artist, FORO4 brings an electrifying blend of old-school, industrial hard techno, electro, trance and breakbeat to the airwaves. Their sets are powerful dynamic and almost symphony-like journey, bringing the listeners on an imaginary journey. FORO4 is a rising star in the Irish electronic music scene with a notable headline set at DYKE NITE in Limerick, which was an 'Event Of The Year' nominee at the 2023 GALAS awards.

FORO4 loves to orchestrate their sets with elusive buildups, guiding the dance floor through enigmatic energies to euphoric high-frequency embraces. D'anu is a DJ from Galway playing jungle, breakbeats, footwork and bass. Over the last two years she has played at nights across Galway, and made several appearances at Evolution in Cork and Bow Lane and Wigwam in Dublin, as well as at EP and All Together Now festivals.

This mix is a fusion of bass music with a tribal feel, moving through melodic techno, broken beat, grime and experimental bass heavy sounds. Featuring music from Arkham Sound, Danny Scrilla, Pangaea, Flowdan, Borai and more.

Elö has been music researcher & party enthusiast for over 15 years. She is from a suburb area of Curitiba, Brazil and is now based in Dublin. In 2018, she began her DJ career, developing two projects simultaneously. One totally focused in Psychedelic Trance and other on an open-format basis, where all ways of feeling are explored, mixing multicultural music styles, contemplating mostly Afro-Brazilian beats, house, disco and trance. 

In the last 2 years, In Ireland, she has been playing & supporting the Brazilian/Latin cultural movements: Cacao & Ecstatic Dance events,SoulNight, Tropicalista Galway, Cantito, Space__Mango, ArtMov, Epiphany, TRP.raveparties.  Currently, she is involved in the organisation of Crystal Queer Club (LGBTQI+ collective) and is member of the bateria group, Morro16 samba.

This mix is a blending of eclectic influences that transcend and fuse musical genres like house, Brazilian funk and trance. It represents a glimpse of the vibrant multicultural music production worldwide with a big Latin American touch.
