Have you ever looked back on your life and thought… how did I get here? I do this often and I smile with gratitude knowing the road my life’s journey has taken.  I don’t know what lies ahead, but one thing is for sure, I see God in everything.  He’s brought me comfort and peace in the chaos, joy and laughter amongst the pain… I fully trust in the process that’s here, and the one to come.  I find living hope in everything that surrounds me.
It was a year ago, sitting in the studio where I was asked a question by songwriter Paul Duncan… the question that started the writing process for this new song.  “Where do you experience God?”… my response can be found by listening to this new song "Everywhere".

The Hummingbird Goes Sideways was recorded between my home studio in Echo Park and a magical off-grid house in Joshua Tree. It's about my own push-pull between love and letting go, and a kind of chaos that seems to be happening everywhere.

A romance song about falling in love for the first time and being afraid about it ending, but you actually know it's gonna work out in the end.  It’s a bit mellow compared to my other recent songs and has a bit of country influence, ala a little Kasey Musgraves, which is new for me.
