Here's my latest single, being released to country radio on November 4th.  You can grab it online now if you like it!

I wrote it with Rick Ferrell one afternoon in Nashville.  It's really something I think most of us can relate to: trying to forget about a love gone wrong, and the things you do to try to forget them.

One of my heroes, "Cowboy" Eddie Long does a really incredible job on the pedal steel here.  I think it makes the whole track.

Co-produced by me and Dan Hodges, mixed by Dan Certa, mastered by Stewart Cararas.

With their second album "Waiting For Something to Happen," London quartet Veronica Falls progressed remarkably from the ramshackle charm of their critically lauded eponymous debut to create something sleeker, more polished but no less poignant and affecting, packing an emotional punch even as the choruses and hooks were more infectious and addictive.

The band has been nothing but busy since the album’s release in February, touring the US and Europe several times, releasing two singles and wrapping up the summer with a series of festival appearances. Also on the horizon is a UK with Bleached and another set of US dates, to be announced.

In keeping with our penchant for perfect pop, we’re now releasing one of the album’s highlights, “Broken Toy,” as a limited edition 7” vinyl single. It’s the kind of song that singles were invented for -- driving and catchy, an ideal distillation of what makes Veronica Falls such an exciting young band. It’s timeless and, dare we say, classic. On the b-side we’ve included an exclusive demo version of the moody “If You Still Want Me.”

Fresh off the heels of his viral sensation “Ballin’ Oates,” which was dubbed “The Greatest Mixtape Ever” by Philadelphia Magazine, The Melker Project is back with “Red Hot Trilli Peppers.” On this epic offering, The Melker Project mixes 6 Red Hot Chili Peppers classics with the likes of Future, 2 Chainz, Dr. Dre, Tupac and everyone in between.

His 5th EP focusing on a single classic artist, Red Hot Trilli Peppers was a formidable project. “I've been listening to the Chili Peppers since I was in middle school, and have always wanted to remix their songs- they’re the sh#t. The breadth of their catalogue is astounding, so it was tough to choose the perfect tracks." Melker says. The first track off of the project is “Bone Thugs & Chili Peppers (Otherside)” which is premiering exclusively on BroBible. The track features a complete, house and crunk infused reworking of “Otherside” complimented by the epic vocals from “Thuggish Ruggish Bone.”

The entire 6 track project , as well as the official t-shirt, is premiering on Uproxx on March 12th – and the official release party is that night at SXSW. The event features a live set by The Melker Project, as well as performances by Snoop Dogg, Sage The Gemini and more.  Red Hot Trilli Peppers will be available for free download on The Melker Project’s facebook page.

Skinny Love by Bon Iver, and the whole For Emma Forever Ago album come to think of it, is absolutely spectacular.

Some people don't take well to it being remixed, but this particular track was one of the the most therapeutic remixes/bootlegs I've had the pleasure of making.

I decided to sit down and make some music that would reflect a bit more of a calm side to me. I was listening to the original track, threw it in my DAW and threw down some crushy destroyed drums under it to get a feel for where to start, and then it just flowed from that point on.

It's not exactly what you'd expect, which has really become what I like doing - surprises.

This was another marathon production binge, which seems to be how I work best.
