Hey Hey, 
so, i’ve always tried to capture something special in my DJ sets, whether it would be an atmosphere or tricky changes in the music itself. 

This set by particular contains a lot of very special compositions, which have been brought togheter by me in a way, as if i would share with you a journey, fairytale or mystic story- music is my tool to communicate in this case.

It’s meant to be the art of dynamic in life, represented through musical variety of tension and release. And since the set has been created in a playful way, it full fills it to the fullest, to represent myself, characteristics aswell as many emotions of mine through this kind of art.

Hopefully you can enjoy this set as much as i did playing and preparing it.

Hey there, sweet to see that you've stumbled across me! let me briefly introduce myself:

I'm Honigkater and years ago I found my great passion for electronic music. After I've been playing Piano at the age of 10 and learning multiple other acoustic Intruments, it has been an a big part of my early years. This passion that took over my entire life, as I began with dancing and getting to know my way of intuitively expressing myself in music.

Well, little did I know it would end up in me experiencing complete bliss through intelligently composed psychedelic sound. My fascination and obsession in recreating these abstract worlds of other worldly atmospheres grew more and more over time, which by now eventually led me to the point, where It's pretty hard for me to specify a genre in which I create music- but I'll name a few to give you a little feel of what I do. As named above there is the dark progressive and Psytech/ Bush prog part which is mainly what I do, yet besides that I really enjoy the deep, slow and gentle music- like the feeling of walking through the forest and hear the wood branches cracking underneath the soles of your feet. Combinine that, with Influences from Jazz, Breakbeat and technoid elements will get the recipe for the Honigkater experience.

Seeking for the special something, i’m on my journey to create unique soundscapes, driving yet playful rhythms, arrangements which leave you captivated, aswell as simply put a smile on your face while listening and having a blast.
Working on my definition of a high quality and extravagant sound, there are currently many Projects in the making which will be released soon on various labels. Stay tuned! 🌲
