I have, as a matter of fact, many, too many affinities with Rousseau. In certain things our characters are identical. The warm, intense, inexpressible love of mankind, and the portion of selfishness balancing it — this is a fundamental characteristic of his character and, as well, of mine.

The Race

2020年制作。
「薄明光線」と呼ばれる自然現象を音楽にした。過去に見た記憶があるが、あの現象は何て言うんだろう？急に気になって調べることに。太陽の姿は雲に隠れているが、光が雲の隙間からこぼれていて、多方向に光がさしている状態。それを急に思い出したきっかけは、よく分からないけど。聴いてくれた人の頭の中に「絵」が浮かぶといいなぁと思っています。今回から新しいマイクプリアンプを使うことになった。「Manley Force」4チャンネルのチューブマイクプリアンプ。ずいぶん前から、複数のチャンネルでの録音をやってみたいと思っていた。特にソロギターの時に。やってみたい事があるのに、できる状態に無かったのでモヤモヤ感が強かった。これで、ちょいとストレスが軽減されました。ベースはライン録りですが、2チャンネルで録音して混ぜた。ベース→Aguilar（ベースプリアンプ）→UAD 610→Interface。それと、ベース→Aguilar→UAD 610(Thru Out)→Manley Foce。DIとしてはUADの方が好きかな。艶というか鮮明さがあって、前に押し出すような感じがある。マイクプリアンプとしてはManleyの方がワイドレンジで音の鮮明さがあって好きかな。そんなわけで、ベース用IDとマイクプリアンプとしてのManleyで使い分けると思います。…..今のところの感想だけど！今月は、この1曲だけかなぁ。マイクプリアンプのテストとか、色々とやっていたら時間がなくなってきたー。曲そのものは…まぁ…リラックスして聴いてもらえたら嬉しいです。ちなみに、曲の中で鳴っているパーカッションはギターのボディを叩く音です。それにしてもアコギのマイク録りは…やっぱり難しいな。
