Originally released in 1993, Two Full Moons & A Trout was one of the seminal releases on Platipus Records.

It was picked up by Rising High in 1994 featuring the epic remix by Caspar Pound and mix by Friends Lovers & Family.

Platipus delivered 2 further remixes in 2006 by Luke Chable, Chab and Tetonik^.

Now 7 years later and 20 years after the original release, we thought it's time for a fresh take on this legendary release.

This time round from with mixes from Belgium's Airwave, Israel's Freedom Fighters & Domestic and USA's Terra Ferma, each bringing their own take within today's sound along with the Original 14" Mix.

Berlin based duo Klartraum unleash their debut album "Evolution" on their own Lucidflow label as an engrossing recollection of their musical and personal journey so far. Each track adds cryptic clues with each beat that unfolds to reveal a tapestry of individual emotions and experiences along their road of musical discovery. 

With each track created at break neck speed, it is snapshot of the pair’s souls at each point in time. The raw emotion laid out in each piece beckons to the listener’s subconscious, awakening a deeper understanding that oscillates between the world of the listener and artist. 

Unique Shadow is the tentative first step, warm pads meet with a wistful melody, coupled with the longing keys that activate the fringes of your conscious. Plugging the sands of time the track’s open hearted melodies seep into the soul to soften the senses for what is ahead. From opening haze emerges the stark and angular Push Yourself as the album’s path begins to twist itself into shape. Still with narcotic disjointment, Its rhythms convulse with an aquatic ebb, while the low end flirts with the floor.

Past Lives tames the regimented march of it’s predecessor, painting a nostalgic picture that joins the dots between Balearic beaches and Berlin basements. 
Dark and claustrophobic, Lenny Stay Out Of Trouble plucks at the walls of self illusion, while Substance is a more forthright exploration of the sensual natures of dance floor stimulus. 

Neti Neti returns to the void, with its suggestive mechanical melodies cleansing the musical palette. Taking things widescreen, the alien sound scape of Pain Relief opens out into a pulsing super nova, rhythmically pushing and pulling chinks of light through its brooding exterior. Snapping the mind back from the edge of space, Growth ambushes the journey with rolling percussion and deep chords, once again realigning the journey. 

With the energy raised, Passion builds again, with inquisitive melodies and beautifully organic instrumentation. Its warm and earthy textures soon give way to the metronomic, industrial All Dimensions. Designed to pulse deep underground in forgotten bunkers, it recalls the timeless thump of clubs like Tresor.
 
Rising from its stomping predecessor comes Angelo, which has a cinematic quality and a swing that chaperons the journey into the blissfully jacking afterglow of Beyond Illusion. Working the hips again is Casual Waves, which creates a restrained euphoria as the album begins to reach its conclusions. Assured drums and gently ebbing melodies bathe in and edifying light, gently winding things down into Inner Sky and Unique Self. The album’s most self assured moments, the melodies and bass inform each other of an infinite freedom. 

The themes explored as Klartaum jam through their debut take on the long player are entirely universal. Their approach to the format is entirely unique.

During my travels in Mumbai last year, a Andrew Mackay from Bombay Dub Orchestra connected me with vocalist Vasuda Sharma for a tech house track I was working on. The lyrics "dheer dhariye Re Mana" are improvised during the song with "alaaps" and "Sargam" (Sa,re ga..) bascially meaning, "Have patience my dear heart." 

The idea behind the words: We get restless or disappointed when things aren't the way we'd like them to be. in times like these, one has to remind oneself to have patience because, in the end along with hard word, it's patience that pays off.

'This halloween Disco Deviant are proud to herald a welcome return to the decks for one of UK's dance music's pioneers, none other than Paul Daley. 

A huge influence in the early 90's progressive house scene Paul Daley made up one half of Leftfield and their output on the Hard Hands label was in every DJ's box at the time. 
Albums followed and their music featured on some of the most iconic films and adverts of our era, Trainspotting, Shallow Grave, GO and that amazing 'Surfers' Guinness ad to name a few.

Playing a vinyl only set for us in the intimate surrounds of 10 Below this should be an amazing night.

We are excited to introduce another fine talent, this time in the shape of the Eskimo Twins. 
Recently lauded as an integral player in the 'Primitive' scene by mixmag, followed and supported by DJs and club nights, including Weatherall, Avery, Smagghe, ALFOS, Wax-On & Disco Deviant. They have a unique sound and style particularly suited to our ears.

Its quite fitting that label founder, producer and DJ Chris Cowie dishes up Bellboys first outing in five years. Teaming up with songwriter and vocalist Rachel Skotarzcyk (RAI) a native of Detroit they have come up with a release that's quite a departure from Bellboy's previous outings. Closer comes in the form of three mixes which aims to send a subtle message directly to the subconscious reflecting the ever increasing Police State in the UK which has alarmed many. The Detroit mix which should find favour with the Deep House-Techno crowd for Its moody tones and sparse vocal making it a get down and become lost in the groove affair. The X Cabs Tech House mix is aimed at those who prefer it served with a little more action. The original mix is a highly infectious full vocal outing which according to our sources seems to hit the spot for the girls. RAI's presence on the vocal undoubtedly helps this release stand out from the crowd and shine.

Cowie who has around 150 releases under his belt shows his diverse production skills which are currently employed in co writing and producing RAI's début album in Aberdeen and it was during those sessions they wrote closer.

Cowie hasn't abandoned his unique Tech House and Techno sound. He has has a number of future releases lined up that nod toward his signature sound but he has stated the Bellboy label in particular will embrace a more diverse range of releases.

Originally formed in 1993 to cater for different genres both Hook Recordings and Bellboy Records became successful and Influential imprints selling over 700,000 units of Vinyl and securing over 700 licenses for CD, Film, Game and TV during its first ten years in operation. During September 2008 the labels were relaunched with a series of compilations of past releases. New releases from established and new artists are set to launch from April 2009.
  
  
  The Bellboy labels Tec House and Techno sound appealed to a different audience but would quite often see Hook fans and DJ's defect to Bellboy as their tastes changed. It gained supporters from all walks of life and around 50% of its sales were purchased by home music listeners some even purchasing a turntable for the sole purpose of listening to Bellboy releases. The label paid little attention to fashion and like Hook was credited with its own sound which was mostly due to Chris Cowie using aliases such as Vegas Soul, Scan Carriers, Bulkhead and Landlord. One notable supporter of the label was the legendary BBC radio one DJ John Peel who aired many Bellboy releases on his show but the label also found favour with many dance music DJs from the mainstream to the eclectic and one could never really tell who would like the next release.. The label opened up doors Hook couldn't like having releases reviewed in Rolling Stone and The Times. Chris Cowie's Best Behaviour album was awarded Muzik magazines fifth best album of the year in company with the Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk. The label was chosen by British electronic dance music pioneers 808 State for their Invader release, an honour for Chris Cowie a long time fan of the band. Today many of the labels past releases are as fresh as ever and can be heard on dance floors and in living rooms across the globe.
  
  Hook Recordings became one of the most influential trance labels of its time because of its unique sound that appealed as much to the home listener as it did on the dance floors across the globe. Like other labels with a particular sound it can often be credited to one person and in the case of Hook it was probably due to Chris Cowie who had a hand in 80% of the labels releases using aliases such as X Cabs, Deniro, and Canyon or his collaborations with DJ's like Christopher Lawrence who said the only way to play Hook releases is to mix five in one go. Over the years Trance developed an increasingly commercial sound which Hook didn't particularly follow but of all its artists Transa were its most commercial sounding act achieving UK chart success through Enervate which was licensed to Perfecto. The labels biggest selling release is the classic X Cabs Neuro which was in constant repress for nearly ten years selling in the region of 50,000 and it was also the labels most licensed track. It was the first UK label to create a true on location mix CD in the form of Hook Recordings The Collection, a 20 track double CD recorded at the top of Scotland's Ben Nevis which happens to be the highest point in the entire British Isles. Armed with turntables, and a generator the team hired a helicopter and flew to the mountains peak and recorded the entire mix watched by a few bewildered mountain climbers and a hovering bird of prey.
  
  The labels ten year history is littered with notable achievements but undoubtedly the labels helped shape the global dance scene with its music and the support of just about every major DJ you could think of.
