For this year's CJLO - 1690AM funding drive there's gonna be TWO Sonics Funding Drive episodes! Since the studios are closed due to the ongoing pandemic, on this episode I continue my trip down memory lane and dive into more of my favourite sessions recorded in The Oven. Then in the second hour we dive into a session and interview with Bristol, UK's IDLES.  Recorded the morning after a sweaty show in Montreal March 22, 2018, the band ripped through a four song set for us, and then we talked about western culture's strange relationship with grief, catharsis through performing live, and connecting with their audience.
