Faulkenham or David Faulkenham has always had a passion for music, from the old days of Dance mix 94, 95, and 96 to the Vengaboys, Blank and Jones, ATB, Alice Deejay and one of his very favorites; Mortal Kombat. Soon enough he became obsessed and dedicated himself to the industry. He began his career in the music industry back in 2005, a couple of friends; Chance B and Kelvin Mah all had the same Idea to start working towards production and the DJ scene. They did not enjoy the culture or the music Calgary venues had to offer, so the long journey began. Faulkenham started taking beginner DJ lessons at AXE music through Jon Delirious a local and very successful DJ/Producer. Two classes in, he bought his first set of CDJ-800’s and a cheap Behringer mixer.  Numerous amounts of hours were spent in the basement working on a perfect mix began. 

A couple years later, Faulkenham began to play anywhere at anytime usually being small house parties, birthdays, small pubs, which taught him the basics of how to read a crowd, he had an extreme dedication to what he played and how the music was structured and mixed. Sure enough he had a break and had his first residency at a small pub called Paddy O Leary’s that lasted a quick year. It was good experience to play a variety of sounds such as 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s along with several other genres. Eventually gigs started to flow in, two nights a month at Sals, metropolitan grill, fashion shows, Fright Night at Flames Central, Reid Speed at Ten, Pauly D at Flames Central, Dennis Shepard at Vicious Circle, Dj Heist at the Bank, Original Sin at the Bank, Crazy Circus at Habitat, 40 acre Shaker, Steve Aoki and Datsik at Flames Central, Opus night club resident, Vicious Circle Resident and  several fundraisers. Fundraisers meant a lot for Faulkenham, he enjoyed giving back and helping out for a good cause while getting his name out. Faulkenham knew networking was also a very important factor of the music industry so he chose to promote for various entertainment companies such as Boodang, Transmission, and TwoTowers entertainment. They offered him a promotions/DJ job in which he took. Jobs were introduced such as sound set-up for local after grads and private parties, ticket sales, promotions, event planning, and marketing strategies were all his main focus. TwoTowers gave Faulkenham opportunities to grow as a promoter/DJ in which one of the most successful parties being the Heaven to Eleven New Years Eve gala which sold-out extremely fast. Shortly after, Faulkenham was offered a residency at Public Social Lounge which was big news for the local DJ. With his extreme obsession for electro, dubstep, dutch and house music, he was able to play whatever he enjoyed with a crowd that enjoyed it. Now with a new residence at Opus, new production gear and a new position with a pristine company known as Aqua Audio, Faulkenham has since then moved on to Transmission to further his experience in the DJ/Production industry.
