This is a song inspired by the admonition to “love thy neighbor as thyself” and Christ’s words, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40. I’ve written it in response to the general selfishness evidence by the nationalistic moods sweeping the world.  It’s not a religious song, but it has a universal message consistent with what I consider to be the best that religion has to offer.

Thy Neighbor As Thyself-(Americana V1)

This is a song based on a Quaker saying taught to me a long time ago, "A way will open." I relied on the wisdom of this saying many times over the course of my lifetime. I think it's beautiful, and it gave me a lot of strength when I needed it.

This is the song of reflection about being a dreamer – it's cost and its hopes. It's about a lifetime of exploring who you are and not being certain who that is, but knowing intuitively that you exist to touch others.  In the end, it's not just about searching for love, it's about searching for meaning and what it means to be a dreamer.
