About the artist:
Milu Grutta (drums, piano, samples, electronics) bought his first computer in 1998. It immediately became a powerful tool to further his experimentations with sounds and to aid his musical discourse to develop and fully surface. Combining sampling and sound processing with a multitrack software, Milu Grutta creates imaginary landscapes, where harmony and rhythm interact freely. Recalling compositional procedures dear to the first pioneers of electronic music such as Luc Ferrari, Terry Riley, Steve Reich, K. H. Stockhousen, he plays with phasing effect, repetition, chance, granular synthesis and micro-editing to create textures and moods. The sampling library he uses is derived from his omni collection of 10000 vinyls and CDs, ranging from space age Jazz to contemporary classical to ethnographical documents from rural Sicily. After many years of excursions and research in the sonic sphere, he now uses moods and beats borrowed from the world of electronic dance music combined with strings and horns orchestrations, with the intention of bringing the listener (and the dancer) to a state of bliss.

Así como la mirada de Heru estaba fija en el cielo, esta canción transmite esa misma energía: elevarse, buscar la claridad y canalizar la perspectiva divina.

Para mí, "Mirada al Cielo" no es solo un título; es un reflejo tanto del espíritu ancestral de Kemet como del viaje del sonido que eleva al oyente.

The title of my track Skyward Gaze represents Heru (Horus) in ancient Kemet; symbolizing vision, elevation, and the constant striving towards higher realms. Just as Heru’s gaze was fixed on the skies, this track carries that same energy: rising above, seeking clarity, and channeling divine perspective.

For me, Skyward Gaze isn’t just a title, it’s a reflection of both the ancient spirit of Kemet and the journey of sound that lifts the listener upwards.

Hoomidaas Records is the record label of the DJ/artist/producer/multi-instrumentalist Armen Miran along with his partner Christina Acobiance. The word Hoomidaas is a stylized acronym for the phrase “who made us”, paying homage to how past narratives shape the present moment. Armen states, "I would not be who I am if it wasn’t for my past." This shows that he holds a deep respect for experiential knowledge above all else and intends to capture that through this label venture. Furthermore, when isolated as “hoom” in Armenian it means “raw” and when artists are invited to be a part of Hoomidaas releases Armen asks them to imagine what the raw part of the sun (the other side of the sun that we cant see) would look like. He loves to challenge their perspectives and hear what experiential wisdom emanates from his fellow creators. 
 
The music, artists, and artwork/design are a huge priority for Armen. His mission is to hand-craft every aspect of Hoomidaas adding to its memorable intrigue via his experiences travelling and playing shows. He tells us that, "a few years ago I played a 12 hour set surrounded by the most beautiful artwork all over the walls of the space. That space is called Rambalkoshe. Since then we have been collaborating with Rambalkoshe and they’re who made our vision and art design come to life for many of the illustrations associated with the label." The synchronistic nature of the partnerships he embarks on are a strong indicator that intuition combined with drive can take you somewhere truly magical. 
 
Currently the label works with a handful of artists. They have each of their artists release a mix on their mix series called “Midaas” which comes out every two months. Additionally the label releases bi-annual compilations, one in the summer called “Hoom Side of the Sun” and one for the winter called “Hoom Side of the Moon”.
