Capelossi has been at the cutting edge of electronic music for the better part of a decade. Comparable to the path of his contemporaries, Pedro has found a way to create a personal universe by exploring electronic sounds, and ultimately finding his own place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music. Fully formed within the creative confines of his Barcelona studio, Pedro's first Refraction project 'Supernova', not only served as the imprints inaugural offering, but continued his mission to create contemporary club tools and destabilizing sound explorations. With the immediate success of Refraction sweeping across the first two quarters of 2024, Pedro now returns to his flagship imprint with the sophomore effort 'Nameless Faceless', alongside remixes from Federsen, Schime and Stimmhalt.

The release concludes with a third label debutant in Stimmhalt providing the lone interpretation of 'Vertical Blue'. Active since 2011, the Stimmhalt project explores an intersection of organic house, electronica and various sub-genres of techno. Celebrated for his releases via Akbal Music, Kindisch, Rebellion and Seven Villas, the Georgian producer/DJ has been in constant motion, performing at the world's premiere festivals and clubs, most notably Burning Man, Decibel, Echowaves and Showbox Seattle. Increasingly selective with his projects in recent years, Stimmhalt now presents his first offering of 2024, making his Refraction debut with a stellar rendition of 'Vertical Blue'. The Tbilisi resident shows a deft hand and a strong sense of personality, as organic sounds soon become smudged by sonic artefacts, drifting vocal fragments and grainy billows of reverb. A deep yet rejuvenating experience, one which not only rounds out the release on a strong note, but adds another summer backroom club tool to your arsenal.

Establishing his persona as one of the most creative and versatile Slovenian underground DJs, MMali is about to add production skills to his biography. Having been DJing and promoting parties in Slovenia for over 10 years, he has built a reputation for shaping the local scene with a unique sound and vision.

The EP unfolds with patience, slowly building through MMali’s love for melodic and percussive-heavy genres, inspired by the selections he makes as Issun-Boshi, his ambient alter ego. Its peak arrives with a strong, dub-driven Inland remix, before closing on a wave of emotion. Hoomidaas Records is the record label of the DJ/artist/producer/multi-instrumentalist Armen Miran along with his partner Christina Acobiance. The word Hoomidaas is a stylized acronym for the phrase “who made us”, paying homage to how past narratives shape the present moment. Armen states, "I would not be who I am if it wasn’t for my past." This shows that he holds a deep respect for experiential knowledge above all else and intends to capture that through this label venture. Furthermore, when isolated as “hoom” in Armenian it means “raw” and when artists are invited to be a part of Hoomidaas releases Armen asks them to imagine what the raw part of the sun (the other side of the sun that we cant see) would look like. He loves to challenge their perspectives and hear what experiential wisdom emanates from his fellow creators. 
 
The music, artists, and artwork/design are a huge priority for Armen. His mission is to hand-craft every aspect of Hoomidaas adding to its memorable intrigue via his experiences travelling and playing shows. He tells us that, "a few years ago I played a 12 hour set surrounded by the most beautiful artwork all over the walls of the space. That space is called Rambalkoshe. Since then we have been collaborating with Rambalkoshe and they’re who made our vision and art design come to life for many of the illustrations associated with the label." The synchronistic nature of the partnerships he embarks on are a strong indicator that intuition combined with drive can take you somewhere truly magical. 
 
Currently the label works with a handful of artists. They have each of their artists release a mix on their mix series called “Midaas” which comes out every two months. Additionally the label releases bi-annual compilations, one in the summer called “Hoom Side of the Sun” and one for the winter called “Hoom Side of the Moon”.
