'Trigger·Response' is the third V/A released by Craquages and the first of their curation series, in which their residents share their own artistic vision. 

ergen101 made this project a space where artists could freely explore the intrinsic contradictions and connexions of themes like oppression & freedom, softness & harshness or trauma & resilience, through an experimental, deconstructed club (or not club) & bass aesthetic. 

It tells a story of humanity, of past experienced as present and how we can now act on it : Trigger & Response.

"For this edition of the Air Texture series, Place, I wanted to shine a light on Ireland’s thriving electronic music community - a scene that’s close to my heart. Each artist featured here is someone I’ve crossed paths with through Out of Space events, my radio show, or simply by being immersed in this small but vibrant community.

Rather than defining a specific theme or genre, I invited each contributor to submit music that felt true to where they were creatively. The result is a diverse yet cohesive snapshot of the electronic soundscape across Ireland -  featuring voices from beyond the capital, reaching into all corners of the country.

What emerged is a compilation full of character and contrast: ambient textures sit beside rhythmic explorations, experimental approaches meet emotional resonance. Despite the variety, there’s an energy that binds it all - a reflection of the trust and creative freedom each artist brought to the project.

It’s been a joy to bring this together and an honour to showcase such a talented group of musicians."

Efa O’Neill is a DJ, producer, and curator based in Dublin, known for championing Irish electronic music through Out of Space - a radio show and event series spotlighting both emerging and established artists.

As one half of The Outside, she explores sound through field recordings, analog gear, and collaborative processes. Beyond the club, Efa crafts rich sonic environments - from sound-driven radio dramas to documentary-style podcasts - bringing stories to life with cinematic depth for national broadcasters and independent projects.

Her work bridges communities and disciplines, powered by a deep commitment to local scenes and the art of sonic storytelling.

Proceeds from this release will support BirdWatch Ireland’s Marine Conservation efforts, including their involvement in the Fair Seas campaign to protect Ireland’s coastal and marine ecosystems. ( birdwatchireland.ie/our-work/advocacy-policy/marine/fair-seas)

what is place: a location specific electronic music compilation series where all proceeds are donated to local groups working on important causes in that area such as environment, human rights, conflict aid, and support.

The goal is to build a global network of music producers bringing important issues to the electronic music community and world at large.

Electronic music is a truly egalitarian, classless, and empowering art form. 1000's of producers have emerged from every corner of the globe in recent years, infusing their own culture and influences into the endless mix.

Let’s highlight more producers than the few who constantly tour, show up on the same lists and parties. Let's promote electronic music as an activist artform by and for the people.

Of Paradise sublabel, Badlands, emerges from an extended slumber with a new offering from label co-founder Silent Era: Emerald Pool, a four-track EP of ambient and experimental soundscapes crafted entirely from field recordings gathered in Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks during the autumn of 2024.

Stripped back and delicately nuanced, Silent Era’s sonic journey through California’s forests and mountains is both blissful and haunting – a meditative unfolding of nature’s rhythm that invites the listener to reflect on the planet and their connection to it.

Accompanied by a limited-edition photo zine with incense, Emerald Pool delivers a deeply immersive experience and signals the beginning of a new chapter of sonic experimentation from the artist.

Hybrid, mutated strains of rave music with influence from the sounds of Detroit, London and Berlin  – @aquarian makes raw, arresting and immediate music aimed squarely at the dance floor. His sound draws from both sides of the Atlantic, combining Drexcyian electro, old school jungle and UK grime with vertical singularity.  The Canadian born, Berlin based artist broke out with a trio of records for UNO NYC, with his 2014 self titled EP cementing him as an artist to watch while landing him a mix on Resident Advisor's coveted podcast series.

Since then he has released records through his own culinary-rave imprint, Hanger Management, described by RA as "Aquarian at his best: searing club melodrama, built from whip-crack breaks, ground-splitting bass and acrid techno adornments.  Most recently, his debut collaboration with  Deapmash as AQXDM on Bedouin Records has been lauded by leading publications while drawing support from Aphex Twin, Ben UFO, Objekt, Avalon Emerson, Dax J and more.

Through difficult times we turn to the passions that push ourselves and keeps us moving forward. In this new year, Forth celebrates with fresh momentum by presenting our first footprint: 

Forth’s Various Artists Vol. 2 is an exploration of the escapism within electronic music. Curated with thought and precision, we aimed for a balanced and purposeful touch of breaks, IDM and techno among a gritty palette of otherworldly sounds. It’s the second rendition in a series that aims to represent another full stack lineup of artists from Toronto, which now includes: Aquarian (Bedouin Records, UNO NYC), E-Saggila (Bank Records, Summer Isle), Basic Soul Unit (Creme Organization, Dekmantel), alongside Forth collective’s City Dance Corporation (Forth) & TYVYT-IYTYI (Pinkman, Forth).

About Forth: 
Forth is a music collective from Toronto comprising of Hadi Mousattat, Lukas Switlicki, Joel Eel and Mark Hill. Having started out throwing DIY style raves, we became influenced by the city's hunger for self-expression. It inspired us to create a platform for artists to realise their forward thinking ideas on the global stage.
