Arnaud Le Texier drops a raw and hypnotic techno release as part of the Rillis series from the Unrilis record label.

"Crunchy" is the title track, and it opens the release with the warping motion of a churning synth line wrapped in fast-paced percussion. 

Living in London (UK), Arnaud Le Texier is a master of finding the sweet spot between depth and energy, as his dance floor-focused style has immersive atmosphere and swelling tension. Layering crunching percussion with analogue synths, Arnaud Le Texier has worked with prestigious record labels ranging from and Coyu's Suara to Slam's Soma, and his own imprint, Children of Tomorrow. He has also travelled the globe as a headline DJ, playing sets at some of the world's best underground clubs and festivals.

Back on June 7th, Fuse resident Innershades took over in the Motion Room through a moment that dived deep into his signature fusion of electro, acid, breakbeat, and early trance influences. Raw, eclectic, and emotionally charged, his sound nods to '90s rave culture while staying sharp and relevant throughout the journey. November 2021 I started a commissioned mix series with people I truly admire. Music has always been a big part of who I am, and it naturally shapes the world I create around the salon. As much as I love hair and the space we’ve built, I also love music — the way it shapes moods, holds space, and shifts how we feel. That’s why I wanted to share it by inviting people from different fields to put together a journey for us — a mix or playlist we can play while working.

What I look for is music that makes you want to listen, let go, move, and dive in. Sounds that can carry you completely, or simply colour the room in the background.

For this edition I once again asked a long-time favourite, Carsten Jost (Dial). The request was simple and open: somewhere between ambient and a personal journey. A mix that builds slowly, shifts, and surprises. Music for the salon during the day, and for those moments when you just want to drift, sway, and lose yourself.

What came back was exactly that.
