SIDE AA. 1978 - On a classic late 90s Fabio Radio One style tip. 1978 builds up neatly taking you on a cosmic journey of twisted up grinding sounds mixed with ultimate smooth grooves all the way to the breakdown breakbeat outro  ... this is pure Liquid Funk !!!.

Limited edition vinyl only release  x300 copies pressed at Record Industry in Holland with full colour disco jacket 12" cover artwork by UK artist James Jessop. super proud to introduce this special 12" by UK Liquid Funk pioneers HIDDEN AGENDA. I first heard there music on Fabio's February 1995 Kiss FM show, taping from Leighton Buzzard with my parents JVC tuner I acquired a crystal clear recording. I had it playing on my walkman non-stop as my sound track for months on end - deep minimal Jungle had arrived. It was the today legendary 'The Flute Tune' I soon purchased a copy on the mighty METAL HEADZ  that year with my giro cheque cash in Coventry from Bang-in Tunes. With 'Get Carter' my next purchase, it was however 'The Sun' on Fabio's Creative Source 1996 that set me off like a Roman candle and still does to this date whenever I spin the original wax (I consider this track the first Liquid Funk track).

Dj Trax put together another phenomenal mix for part 2 of The Moving Shadow mix series!! This mix was very melodic, showcasing deep, jazzy, melodic tunes, and uplifiting vocals. This mix proves why Moving Shadow was such a great and influential label and why Dj Trax is a great dj!!

Lets meet our dj for this week, Dj Trax:

I started Drumming at 7, DJing at 12 and at 15 I formed the hip hop group Mixrace with two MC`s (Dev Paradox + Leke Aerosoul.) I released my first track a year later in (1991) on Brain Records. In the same year myself and Dev signed to Moving shadow. Over the next 3 years I released Solo 12"s on Shadow under DJ Trax and Joint releases under Mixrace. In 94 we set up 5 record companies with Scott W and Gary S Stronghold, Mixrace Productions, Offset, Nautilus+ Mobhanded. Myself and Paradox released a couple of dozen 12"s on the labels, both solo, and duo (under Brown + Dangerman.) We also collaborated with Hyper On Experience. From 97 to 2003 I mainly focused on downbeat/leftfield music. I released an album and two 12"s on LaCerba/3mv as well as releasing on Goodlooking, Kriztal, Mole, Beats + Pieces and Hed Kandi. I also Remixed Kutis Blow The Breaks! From 2003 to 2010 I have released a further two albums 1,000 Pictures + Thoughts In Widesceen which was on the front cover on Knowledge Magazine. I've also released on Outsider Music, Ociris, Subtle Audio, Omni Music, Tempo, Paradox Music, OSR, Subvert Central,Crisis,Misspent Music, Syncopathic Recordings and my own label Audio Buffet. I have released a series of EP`s with US Hip Hop group, Assorted Anonymous and have a Full album with AA coming very soon. Alongside the releases, I've also written music for many TV/Multimedia projects and Scored for the Feature Film, Shifty. Ive dj`d and have run nights through out this time.
