Welcoming this vibrant duo to Afterlife, Yotto & Stephan Jolk.
This is Stephan's fourth appearance on the label in less than a year, but the first
collaboration with Yotto. With distinctive but synergic sounds, both artists are renowned for their ability to imbue their music with rich musicality and captivating rhythms. On 'New Era’ we are invited to join an odyssey into the infinite field of consciousness. The title track has the typical Yotto rippling rhythm that gallops along while drawing you into its orbit, whereas a melodramatic signature Stephan Jolk riff infiltrates your heart centre. On the flip ‘Only One’ takes a
more unassuming approach, the sombre tones complemented by the main melody which is melancholic, but at the same time uplifting. Dance music with pure soul at its core.

Ausilio Jō has built a strong following for his complex yet groovy productions that intertwine his deep musical knowledge with an innate sense of what electronic music can be. The producer and live performer behind the Ritter Butzke Records and Sonderling Berlin imprints drops a one track release on Poker Flat that exemplifies his approach. 

'Alem' is driven by a crunchy, groove heavy rhythm laced with samples and manipulated sounds that unfolds into a deep, atmospheric burner. There's a feeling of space to the track that allows it to work as both a listening piece and something that will clearly destroy the right dancefloor.

Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. After the positive reactions on "Diablo", Oliver and I naturally decided to dive into a follow-up (with a rather appropriate title)! Not sure why we chose Spanish names but we seemed to be onto a good thing so we decided to keep nurturing those creative instincts. We had quite a few ideas going back and forth with this one, hence the two-part approach to the final version. Conceptually and with the working title, we wanted to take a lighter approach to this one, creating something less sinister than "Diablo" and I think that we succeeded nicely, helping to eventually take things into our "Elements" series. I should also mention how excited we were to have a brilliant Gaiser mix for this! - Dubfire
