Jakhira is a British-born, Belgium-based DJ and producer. A classicly trained musician with a heart that beats to a groove, his signature style is a melting pot of widespread influences. Compulsively creative whilst ridiculously meticulous, the multi-instrumentalist blends electronic with the organic effortlessly, forging ethereal explorations into sound.

Our 'Good Morning from ...' Guest Mix series will explore different artists from all around the world as they take us on a journey with their distinct and unique sounds that they'll showcase to represent their taste, surroundings and upbringing.

We're back in the tropics of Miami for our latest morning story, and for residents of Miami, life must sometimes feel like a full-time vacation. 

Along Ocean Drive, bright pink and yellow Art Deco buildings pop against the blue backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. On Calle Ocho, the smell of freshly baked croquetas wafts through the air. Walk past any bar or nightclub and the sound of Latin music blasts onto the streets, turning even an empty parking lot into a salsa dance floor.

"It was an infatuation with electronic music from a young age that sparked the beginning of Nick Berry’s DJ career in the Sydney scene back in 2014. Raw Main - At Faust w/ Fritz Kalkbrenner november 25th

I was honored to be invited to close out the New York edition of @Satorimusica's new Maktub concept. This was one of my favorite performances in a while, however following an incredible live act with visuals tightly synced to their every note and displayed a giant LED wall is no small task :)

This recording starts off following the same energy level at the height of the night then slowly transitions into a slightly more relaxed and experimental vibe as the sun starts to come up.

I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I did performing it.
