Yesterday my razor died halfway through the crime,
Half my head went bald while the beard kept dragging time.
I looked like a TV nightmare from a trippy ’70s run,
Panic in my bones—this joke ain’t fun.

I grabbed a blunt old knife and tried to fix the wreck,
Carved at my own face till the mirror snapped my neck.
Gray on my chin, wild in my stare,
Twenty years younger at first glance—then… beware.

Blood on the tiles, nowhere to run.

The mirror laughs while I black out.

No way I’m walking streets looking like this mess,
Can’t pick up the kids like a horror in a dress.
Tomorrow is a wedding, the next day someone’s gone—
But I can’t face a soul with this face put on.

Not welcome at the Zoo with this carnival head,

“Sure—it must work,” I said without a thought,
Grabbed the wrong tub… now curls I never bought.

Hair set like concrete, nightmare won.

Every pore is screaming loud.

Tape it? Staple it? Hide it with a hood?
Patchwork monster—does it do me any good?

This is the chaos a mirror becomes.

Hostal Handshake is an Athenian hard rock/stoner band formed in 2002. After releasing promos "H2" (2002), "Public Affairs" (2003), and "Bitched Up!" (2005), they launched their acclaimed debut album "Hellish" in 2007 via Secret Port Records. While there are no plans for live performances, Hostal Handshake intends to release new studio material (singles,EPs or ...albums!) from 2025 onwards.
