Amsterdam’s Luuk Van Dijk lands on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this July with ‘The First Time EP’. 

Releasing on the likes of Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, and his own Dark Side Of The Sun label, DJ/producer Luuk Van Dijk arrives on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax imprint for the first time with the aptly titled ‘The First Time EP’. 

‘The First Time’ leads the release with snaking acid lines and snappy drums featuring vocals from Newcastle singer/songwriter and Hot Creations affiliate Mizbee, whose previous collaborators include the likes of Jansons, Maxinne, Supernova, and more. ‘Jus’ Listen’ follows, opening with airy pads and choppy percussion, with piano chords and bouncing low-end keeping up momentum. 

‘Up North’ sees an amalgamation of glitched-out FX and warbling bass meet delicate atmospherics for a trippy late-night house jam, before ‘Don’t Mess’ closes the EP with bubbling synth hits, rolling basslines, and vocal chops.

Long-standing FUSE mainstay Rich NxT makes a long-awaited return to Hot Creations this October with the Vibewise EP. The three-tracker marks his debut solo release on the label, having featured as remixer on the imprint previously.
 
“Like a lot of artists, I naturally focused my time in the studio during our lockdowns, so I’m really happy to deliver this EP for Hot Creations now. Those in the know will know the reference to one of the excellent party venues in London, back when a lot of our journey’s started.”  - Rich NxT
 
The A-side sets off with Roll On and the title signifies the exact nature of the track. A chuggy, groove-paced creeper, borrowing a unique vocal hook from UK hip hop protagonist Einstein. Rich’s hallmark style leaves few prisoners in its wake, as swinging bass tones open into the techy sounds of Papermill. Gritty basslines meld into whirring synth pulses before the title track brings things to a close, with stripped-back percussion residing next to loopy kick-hat combos throughout.
 
As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich NxT played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. Elsewhere, the DJ / producer draws on his strongly identifiable sound to run two vinyl imprints, NxT Records and What NxT.

Moscow returns for its 26th release with two long-awaited originals courtesy of label boss and founder Archie Hamilton.

Lead track ‘Waisted’ is a vibrant and rolling dance floor ready weapon, a powerful slice of the signature Archie Hamilton sound and groove geared for peak-time energy. ‘Quicksand’ on the B-side is a blissed out and intricate cut, layered with deep acid spirals and glistening vocals.

Following on from a steady and successful string of releases on the imprint last year including Argy’s ‘Sing It’ EP and Archie’s collaborative ‘Swerve’ EP with cousin Benson Herbert, this year marks Moscow’s tenth year of pushing alternative sounds since 2009.

Following on from the success of the most recent Moscow drop ‘Waisted’, Archie Hamilton’s next release is ‘Make the Difference’ with New York’s Sole Channel Music and Muzik 4 Tomorrow founder aka Mr V.

‘Make The Difference’ in its original form is a mesmerizing and slice of anthemic vocal house laced with the spine-tingling and sumptuous tones of Mr V.

A track tailor-made by Archie for those life-affirming dance floor moments, Mr V’s vocals home in on the core values of house music in its purest form, unity and sanctuary in the freedom of expression.

On the flip is two club tools, Mr V’s acapella and Archie’s VIP mix, a fast tempo techno-driven banger geared for peak time energy.

Archie Hamilton Feat Mr. V - Make The Difference

Jamie Jones launches his new subsidiary label of Hot Creations, HOTTRAX with a three track EP of upfront dance floor business. The label will be dedicated to a more underground dance floor orientated aesthetic, only for the headstrong!

This three track features phenomenal 'Changes'. Jamie has championed it all summer and as soon as you hear it you'll realize why. It's a heady hypnotic brew of oscillator-funk and ghetto-groove, arpeggiating synths bubble hypnotically under the rising ebb and flow of the melody as infectious groove drives you on.. the truth is we are all going through changes!

On the flip and Jamie jacks the groove on the 'Road To The Studio'. Incessant chanting and looped vocals are cleverly layered upon each other creating a impending sense of explosive anticipation as the rhythm effortlessly builds to maximum effect. Finally, the irresistibly charming 'No Rush' plays upon retro garage feel while the minor keys serve to create a sense eeriness on the floor. A great closure to a superb three track EP, and what a way to kick off the new label in style. Watch out for HOTTRAX releases in 2013.

Seb Zito is no stranger to delivering club-ready hits. He brings his fire to Hot Creations this March, marking his inaugural release on the label. 

“I wanted to incorporate the tech elements from the Fuse sound and combine it with the acid style of Hot Creations, along with little snippets of vocals from my garage influences. I’ve followed Jamie since the early days of Kubicle so it’s an honour to be releasing on his label.” - Seb Zito 

Nut In Your Mouth instantly commands attention with an infectious vocal hook that ripples around the pounding bassline. Flow is a frenetic offering with a chaotic flow and elements of acid that tightly coil together before unfurling into a rich, unadulterated bass conjuring up a sort of rhythmic voodoo. The EP rounds off with Put Your Phones Down feat. Woodzy. The track utilises a burgeoning synth that grows steadily as a hypnotic vocal line bleeds an air of mysticism into it before Woodzy calls us to put our phones down and get up. 

Seb Zito has firmly established himself as a key player on the house and techno scene. One of the core residents of London party starters Fuse, Zito has an unwavering ability to connect with the crowd and regularly plays at some of the world’s most renowned clubs. He runs his own highly-praised imprints Seven Dials and F&Z as well as releasing a slew of well-received EPs on Fuse, Infuse, Play It Say It, Edible, Four Thirty Two, ORIGINS, Rawax & Kaos Theory. 2020 is set to be a seminal year for Seb with plans to grow Seven Dials as a brand and the release of his debut album.
