His label DeepClass Records, started back in 2007 mainly focusing on Deep House production and promotion.  it has become one of the most refined and well respected labels out there to date, a long roster of world class producers who have all appeared on the label, not only that he's gathered support from all around the world from DJs like Laurent Garnier, Danny Tenaglia, Maceo Plex, Mark Farina Dj Sneak, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo along with us here at the sounds collective. it is an amazing label, and he is an amazing producer and a fantastic DJ. Born and raised in the Bronx, Hector Romero is a global ambassador of all things house music. A part of the legendary Def Mix team from back in the day with Frankie Knuckles, David Morales and Satoshi Tomiie, Hector is a tried-and-true dance music titan and industry professional with an impeccable ear for music. 
 
His love of music has taken him all over the world, jet-setting to the glamorous clubs of Italy and Ibiza to the top parties in London, Montreal and Hong Kong to name a few. His sound includes the gamut of house music, from soulful vocals and deep rhythms to powerful tribal drums and bigger techy sounds. It’s all about seamlessly shifting between genres.
 
Outside of the DJ booth, Hector is the head of A&R for Sony Music’s Orianna Records that focuses on organic electronic music and the rhythms of Latin culture. He’s also just been named the resident of Musica, New York City’s newest nightclub in the heart of Manhattan.

We are back with another episode and we’re extremely happy to welcome Mark Slee, an outstanding artist from San Francisco! His mixes and productions can be described as a perfect blend of intricate grooves, dreamy textures and playful whimsical bounce. Over the course of an electronic music obsession more than 20 years strong, @McSlee has evolved a deep musical style that reflects a unique personality, blending intuition and introspection with a methodical approach to production and curation. 

In 2016, Mark joined forces with musical partner Atish and founded the label @Manjumasi, that celebrates quirky and forward thinking dance music that doesn’t forget the dance floor. Fully committed to digging the troves of modern dance music, he is on a mission to uncover releases that stand out. 

The San Francisco artist had his debut with Nocturne Belle EP on Manjumasi, which is a deep, atmospheric masterpiece with grooving percussive elements. Beyond Manjumasi, Slee's original productions and remixes have been released on such imprints as Cityfox, Seven Villas, Lost Diaries, Cosmic Society, Magician On Duty, Nugget, Where the Heart Is, Proton Music, and more. 

In addition to regular appearances on his San Francisco home turf, Slee's style has earned him DJ sets in notable locales, such as Kater Blau and Sisyphos in Berlin, Cityfox in New York, and Robot Heart. Since 2016 Slee has also been developing immersive, spatial audio-visual production tools for systems of up to 32 channels via Envelop. Notable live performances with Envelop include MUTEK.SF and FORM Arcosanti.

Que faites-vous de votre temps libre ?
Eh bien, après mon travail de jour, je rentre le plus souvent à la maison, m'assoir, me détendre et profiter d'un moment pour soi, à soi… Puis selon l’envie, j'allume le son, internet ou autre… Tranquille. J'aime aussi sortir ‘parfois’ restau, pub, ciné, concert en tout genre, club…  Il m’arrive aussi de recevoir mes potes légèrement intoxiqués de whisky et de bières comme moi… Mais bien sûr, comme n'importe quel autre DJ, beaucoup de mon temps est consacré à cette quête sans fin d'une bonne nouvelle musique. HD

What do you do in your free time?
Well, after my day job, I come home most often, sit down, relax and enjoy a moment for myself ... Then according to the desire... I turn on the sound, internet or other ... Cool. I also like going out 'by faith' eatery, pub, cinema, concert of all kinds, club ... I also happen to receive my friends slightly intoxicated with whiskey and beer like me ... But of course, like any what other DJ, a lot of my time is spent on this endless quest for good new music. HD

Bueno, después de mi trabajo diario, llego a casa con mayor frecuencia, me siento, me relajo y disfruto un momento para mí, para mí ... Luego, según el deseo, enciendo el sonido, internet o otro ... tranquilo. También me gusta salir a veces a restaurantes, pubs, cines, conciertos de todo tipo, clubes ... También recibo a mis amigos un poco intoxicados con whisky y cerveza como yo ... Pero, por supuesto, como cualquier otro DJ, paso mucho tiempo en esta búsqueda interminable de buena música nueva. HD
