The Black Light Disco Show is back surfing the MyHouse Radio airwaves with another two hour musical jamboree to soothe your ears and massage your shoulders.

This week it’s the return of that deadly duo of Esteban and Cole Kutz, who had the honour of doing the show live from the DJ booth in the recently refurbished SkyLight Bar here in BLD Towers. 

First up is Esteban with a picnic basket full of new sonic goodies from the likes of Cisco Cisco, Alexny, Moodena, Fingerman & Chewy Rubs, Stephen Richards and Risk Assessment.

For the second hour, Cole Kutz will take the controls for a journey into sound with top quality music featuring Dexter Jones, The Magic Track, Igor Gonya, Yuksek, Sunner Soul and Raw Artes to name but a few! 

All the trademark curve balls, rabbit holes, event horizons and mystery tours will be explored with a totally tropical taste.

Co-host and resident @wahinedj returned on 3.8.25 welcoming friend and fellow Disco Walton, Jay-Kay @houseofjaykay to Spin City for the first time. The German DJ and event producer out of Duisburg, Germany only started DJing in 2022, but has been a life-long clubber and vinyl collector, so she already had a DJ's ear before she finally decided to get on the decks a few years ago. She produces an event called Women for Women and is the co-host of The Couple Show on NDC Radio alongside husband and fellow DJ and Disco Walton, DJ BK.

Summer Sizzlers Volume 2 Showcase - Mixed by Even Funkier

N. Ireland's finest/resident @Doc75s returned to Spin City on 10.9.25 with guest and Bandolier Records boss, @chewy-rubs. This show is destined to be a funky chunky good time with these two pros at the controls.

ABOUT CHEWY RUBS
Chewy Rubs, known to his mom as Tom grew up immersed in an eclectic mix of music. He learned to mix rather than learning to drive, wisely buying his first 1200’s instead of a car. He passed his test with flying colors and first graced the wheels of steel in his hometown of Hereford at the legendary Naughty But Nice during the mid-nineties.

Having moved to Glasgow and then onto London he continued his musical education in breaks and Hip Hop listening to the The Operators and by working in a central London vinyl emporium where the endless supply of fresh vinyl, back catalogues and  encircled by renowned shops like fat Cat, Black Market, Sista Ray & Phonica meant he could continuously indulge his passion for rare, limited edition & imported wax.

Production was a natural next step & after mastering Ableton & with the help of Soundcloud, his influences gelled into the Chewy Rubs sound. A steady tranche of killer edits followed w/ support from Greg Wilson, Tiger & Woods, Derek Kaye, Danny Krivit, Fingerman & Yam Who? along w/ a growing fan base of global disco lovers across social media.
Chewy Rubs continues to deliver a steady stream of new edits on key labels like Hot Digits, Midnight Riot Records & Seamus Haji's Re-Loved

Walking Through Your Eyes

The Black Light Disco burns into the atmosphere that makes up the My House Radio airwaves, hitting you  like a cold, super-power jet wash to the armpit. 

It’s the third Monday of the month which means it’s the return of those psychedelic wormhole travellers Esteban and Cole Kutz! The boys have been busy clearing out the pool house here in our summer retreat of BLD Bungalows, ready to fill it in autumn with unused BLD branded sun beds and parasols. It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it…

First up is Esteban, who has a clutch of damn fine tunes from the likes of Mita Game Garden City Movement, Save the Robots  & Winkar Lopez, Kristof Tigran, Re-Tide and Adelphi Music Factory to name but a few.

Disco For Funky Monkeys!

Hot-stepping into the disco jungle, Hot Gorilla Records blur the lines between disco, funk, house and reworked edits. And they come at you with one aim and one aim only - to make you go bananas on the dancefloor!

Founded by Andy Buchan and Conan The Selector in May 2020 as the pandemic hit, the duo brought some much-needed ‘good times’ to the disco scene. And when clubs did open up again, they were straight into action, touring the UK as DJ support for The Brand New Heavies including sold-out dates in Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham. 

Musically they strut the line between disco, funk and house, championing original music and heavily reworked edits. 

And they’ve had plenty of dance floor success including several Juno Download No.1s, multiple Traxsource Top 10s and four tracks in the Best of 2021 Beatport chart. 

The Hot Gorilla Records family currently includes founders Andy Buchan and Conan The Selector alongside guests like Fingerman, Chewy Rubs, Mannix, Monsieur Van Pratt, Akeem Raphael and a big troop of funky monkeys. 

And with an album on the way, a 2nd birthday to celebrate in May 2022 and gigs across the UK and beyond, Hot Gorilla Records will continue to bring the ‘Good Times’ as they make people go bananas on the dancefloor.
