Parlophone’s burgeoning dance imprint, FFRR, have confirmed their stance as one of the most exciting dance labels right with the latest single from Just Kiddin. Following the hugely successful FFRR release of Oliver Helden’s ‘Gecko’, Just Kiddin’s ‘Thinking About It’ sees a team up with influential dance channel Eton Messy. The track has so far clocked up an impressive 500,000 plays across Youtube and SoundCloud and been supported by Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Blonde, Bondax, Clean Bandit, Gorgon City, Hot Natured, Todd Edwards and Moon Boots since the track was secretly premiered as the opening track on The Magician’s ‘Magic Tape 41’. ‘Thinking About It’ is set for release on the 2nd November with remixes from Bearcubs and more to be announced.
After spending the first part of 2014 locked away in the studio, ‘Thinking About It’ is the first in a series of releases that expertly illustrate Just Kiddin’s honed-to-perfection production techniques - techniques that have come a long way since being introduced by XLR8R back in 2013 via their Intimacy EP on Nurvous Records. Since then, Just Kiddin have gone on to release on labels such as Black Butter and HK Records and their remix of Claptone’s smash ‘No Eyes’ was selected in Mixmag’s ‘Top 10 Exclusive Downloads of 2013’ and garnered a cool four million views on YouTube.
 ‘Thinking About It’ will be Eton Messy Records follow up release to Clean Bandit member Jack’s impressive side project Ribs. Having being long-term supporters of Just Kiddin, this second release firmly places Just Kiddin within the Eton Messy family and the act will be a prominent feature on all nine dates of the forthcoming UK tour.

Off the back of the success of Auden’s first Hotflush EP, the enigmatic alias returns to Scuba’s label with another hard hitting four-tracker, ‘Wall To Wall’. 

‘Lock In’ throws you in headfirst - fast-paced drum loops layered with slices of jarring techno and a driving bassline that would be welcomed on the darkest dancefloors. ‘Utopian’, initially a more languid cut, juxtaposes an almost cerebral landscape with hard hitting percussion, only allowing the listener a short breather before hurtling back in with ‘Perished’’s swirling synths and trippy electronic jabs. Ending on Xirox, Auden crafts a slightly more down-tempo cut, boasting a catchy groove that only gets better with each listen.

Whoever Auden may or may not be, one thing is for certain – he’s carving his place deep in techno’s panorama.

The dynamic duo of Sandman &amp; Riverside are at it again as the FastFWD label unleashes its eleventh release. Their Play Wit You EP is chock full of sexy house funk with top notch remixes from a couple of house music&rsquo;s influential tastemakers, Ron Trent and DJ Minx. The EP contains three originals featuring vocalist Kymberli Wright, all layered with drumbeats and synthesizers of varying timbres to take the listener on a whimsical journey &hellip; all cuts are bonafide galactic head nodders. First introduced to the house world via the Defected label, Kymberli Wright&rsquo;s soulful vocals gained notice throughout Detroit and beyond through her contribution to all-female jazz band Straight Ahead as well as having worked alongside such noted artists as Mary J. Blige and George Clinton. The first track with Sandman &amp; Riverside is &ldquo;Play Wit You,&rdquo; a Detroit-flavored gem filled with popping drum machine percussion, dueling synth melodies, and Wright&rsquo;s irresistible vocal hooks on top. &ldquo;PopTune&rdquo; is next, offering an enticing throwback to club music of the late &lsquo;80s within some powerful beats. Add Ms. Wright&rsquo;s wonderful vocal lines and this cut takes on the feel of Human League meets Shannon. The third track on the EP is &ldquo;SuperSonic,&rdquo; not to be confused with the classic JJ Fad ditty, though it&rsquo;s not too far off. Sandman &amp; Riverside&rsquo;s funk production backs the swirling, processed, and synthesized vocal phrases and outer space vibes. A pared-down Dub of this appealing track is also available. On the remix tip, the Prescription Records&rsquo; legendary Ron Trent reveals a hypnotic ten minute revision of &ldquo;Play Wit You&rdquo; that merges sensual loops and vocal effects into the soundtrack to a dark dance floor full of bodies in motion. It&rsquo;s a lofter&rsquo;s dream. Detroit&rsquo;s DJ Minx (Women On Wax) offers her vocal and instrumental Queen Beats versions which satisfy through booming low end, solid late night rhythms, and building, melodic chords. Hotflush is a record label launched by Paul Rose aka Scuba in 2003. Its early period was spent as a central part of London's Bass Music scene which exploded in the mid 2000s, although the label has always been difficult to pigeonhole musically and recent output has focused on Techno and House.
