There's not really much else to say about this one. The names dropped in the title alone lets your ears know what they're in store for.

Detroit's Burden brothers, more commonly known as Octave One, have been making classic techno from their roots since 1990 – and, much to our pleasure, have continued to produce, DJ and play sensational live sets as though no time has passed. 25 years on, their music still fuels the dancefloors of 2nd gen. techno lovers, as well as being picked up and reworked by modern dance music's most valuable players –  of which Paul Woolford is most certainly one.

When asked about his "Lose Myself" rework, Paul shared that Octave One and their 430 West label "have been inspirations to me for so many years. We met through mutual friends and immediately connected, following various gigs together globally. It was an honour to be invited to work on something for the Detroit label. My intention was to bring out the soulful edge of Octave One's sound and place it within the framework of a track that would work towards the end of the night." Wasting no time on the 2017 calendar, label bosses Pleasurekraft follow up the massive "Rigel" with their first EP of the year, with a little hand from Italian maestro Roberto Capuano. On the title track "Maskara", film aficionados might pick up on the use of composer Jocelyn Pook's "Masked Ball" which has now become infamous for its use in Stanley Kubrick's final film "Eyes Wide Shut".  The boys' deft use of a small piece of the original work becomes the centerpiece around which everything else is constructed - with towering drums, and menacing chord stabs rounding out the track's dark landscape - just the way Kubrick might have envisioned it.

Closing out the EP, Roberto Capuano returns to the label to team up with the boys for the dark & brooding "Penetrator", a track that much like its lead melody slithers back and forth traversing the border between tech house and techno - a farewell to tech house - and a full embrace of the techno expanse that lay ahead for the imprint in 2017. 

Both tracks already featured numerous times by Adam Beyer on his Drumcode podcast, Kraftek is very proud to present, the "Maskara EP".

Stereo Productions welcomes back Supernova. The Lapsus Music bosses release their new EP on stereo, 'Ain't Nobody'. The EP has two dancefloor bombs, trusted in 'Elrow' and played by Chus & Ceballos in Miami with a massive feedback.

The first track is 'Ain't Nobody', where the kinky percussion, a strong bassline, bell sounds, and vocal samples and elements create a music storm on the dancefloor. It's a real killer track.

UK techno legend Mark Broom returns to Rekids in February to release four uplifting cuts in the form of his ‘Break 97’ EP.

Mark Broom’s musical career is certainly something to behold – with over 150 releases over the past 25 years, on top of regular gigs across the world’s most renowned institutions, there’s no doubting his work ethic and his influence upon the scene. A prolific artist and true pioneer in the techno world, having worked with revered labels such as Warp, R&S, Ifach and Soma, and in more recent times Blueprint, EPM Music, Red Sonja Records and his own Beard Man Records, his ‘Break 97’ EP kick-starts 2019 for Radio Slave’s Rekids as the imprint adds yet another outstanding name to its roster following the likes of DJ Deep, Sebo K, DJ Spider and more.

‘Break 97’ sets the tone of the EP with a fusion of techno and disco, delicately blending funk-infused chords and resonating kicks amongst groove-filled vocals, before ‘Heart’ delivers inspiriting disco samples, punchy low end and elevating strings to reveal an effervescent aesthetic throughout. ‘EFB’ takes things up a notch, offering a dancefloor focused cut balancing rattling highs, vibrant synth flutters and a muffled vocal line, until ‘G Theme’ rounds out proceedings armed with robust percussion, electrifying vocals and undulating, euphoric keys.

Debuting on Rekids, Laurent Garnier & Chambray collaborate for a colossal single entitled ‘Feelin’ Good’ featuring two outstanding remixes from label owner Radio Slave.

Having supported Rekids for many years in his sets across the globe, it only made sense for Laurent Garnier to drop one of his finest productions to date on the label. Although the legendary Frenchman has kept busy producing movie soundtracks (‘Paris Est A Nous’) and remixes in recent years, this is his first full release since 2017. He’s joined in the studio by Chambray, a Berlin-based producer known for releasing on Figure, Unknown To The Unknown and Jimmy Edgar’s Ultramajic.

Opening with sporadic battle cries, stabbing claps and powerful bass sequences before rapturous piano melodies come into effect – ‘Feelin’ Good’ is undoubtedly one of this year’s biggest tracks. On the flip, Radio Slave assembles two contrasting remixes that do just as much damage: the first is an atmospheric
number that marches forward using precision kicks, rattling percussion and rising pads, whilst the ‘Revenge Mix’ cranks things up a notch with its crunchy breaks before introducing the original’s blissful keys.

Hotflush is a record label launched by Paul Rose aka Scuba in 2003. Its early period was spent as a central part of London's Bass Music scene which exploded in the mid 2000s, although the label has always been difficult to pigeonhole musically and recent output has focused on Techno and House.
