Full Motion Disaster (also known as FMD) is the musical alias of Mumbai based DJ/Producer, Aniket Dabholkar.  He runs @filth-inc-official - a heavy hitting electronic label that has developed a significant presence on SoundCloud, and gained popularity for showcasing quality Ghettotech, Electro, Breakbeat and Rave genres.

FMD is a highly versatile DJ, capable of tailoring his sets to suit the need of the hour, though he has a preference for playing an eclectic blend of Electro, Ghettotech, Ghetto House, Breakbeat and Rave, with his sets usually starting around 130 bpm and concluding at the 160 bpm mark over the course of 1-1.5 hours

DBRK_LAB 003 Full Motion Disaster

Jason Code’s Nervous Growl wasn’t born in a club. It started on a cold, rainy day in Seattle, when he pulled out some hardware to shake off a creative rut.

Let’s backtrack: Jason first learned to produce at 16 after falling for the bass and energy of early dubstep, fascinated by its overlap with hip-hop. After years of honing his sound – including releases on Scuffed Recordings, Ommaya Records and Future Everything, plus his self-released 2022 EP JC01 – he moved back to Seattle and began working as a lighting tech for after-hours parties like Research, High+Tight, and Second Nature. Those nights, with their long-form, hypnotic grooves, would have a huge impact on the production of Nervous Growl. Around the same time, he started throwing his own parties, investing in a soundsystem with friends, and creating a DIY space to help bolster the local scene and strengthen the city’s underground dance community.

It’s that same spirit – inclusive, DIY, and fiercely proud of its scene – that fuels Nervous Growl: as he puts it, “a rising tide lifts all ships.” Bringing together that formative love of proggy house and techno with the deep womps, think breaks, tripped-out vocal chops and breathy ASMR moments that have become his signature (put it this way: he’s not beating the ADHD allegations any time soon), Nervous Growl feels like the record that brings together all aspects of Jason’s musical make-up into a disharmonious whole.

This EP also features his best mixing work yet – tight, bass-forward club tracks that balance silliness, darkness, and sultry energy. The low end is king here – especially the chest-rumbling “growl” at the core of the title track – but there’s a wry humour running throughout the EP with details that reveal themselves on repeat listens. Nervous Growl is a record built for big systems and packed dancefloors, with Jason’s personality stamped all over it.

It’s filled with intricate details born from escapism - like collages torn from reality, resembling fragments of strangers’ stories accidentally overheard from passersby.

In this compilation are tracks by artists you won’t find on official charts, but whose sound is unforgettable. Noisy loops, crispy beats, distorted vocals, and cold electronics sound as if transmitted through an encrypted channel. Each composition is like a hidden message understood only by those who know where to look.

Chicago - land of contrasts. The birthplace of Drill and the home of famed heterochromatic IG baddie ‘Ash Kaash’, the city of inedible Deep Pan Pizza and delicious Malort; Chicago has until now had little to no impact on dance music beyond some fringe developments in the late 80s, of little consequence to anyone outside the greater Kankakee area.

This is all set to change, with the arrival of KEEFE's ‘Gunman Groove’ EP on No More Mailouts, four tracks of Italian Beef bangers, ‘CHIEFLY’ inspired by - and you knew this joke was coming - Lil Durk.

‘Amen Rework’ combines Gabba-esque kicks with rinsing Amen breaks and hardcore stabs, but is way better than that sounds - Franklie, it’s as tuff as Knuckles.

Title track ‘Gunman Groove’ again takes classic Rave stabs, this time layering them over a pounding 4/4 kick pattern. If only there was a name for this kind of rhythmic pattern - but whatever that may be, it would sound great in a Warehouse.

Looping hypnotic synth-lines define ‘Let A Clip Ride’, a hypnotic roller that is well worth a Spinn…

And closing things out, ‘Let There Be House' bemoans the lack of affordable accommodation options in late-stage capitalism. Here at No More Mailouts, we Stan any producer who can Sneak a political message into the dance.

So here we have it Chicago - your time to finally become known for EDM! Let there be rejoicing from Waukegan to Rockford!!! And let there be dwelling place music!!!!!

Hotflush is a record label launched by Paul Rose aka Scuba in 2003. Its early period was spent as a central part of London's Bass Music scene which exploded in the mid 2000s, although the label has always been difficult to pigeonhole musically and recent output has focused on Techno and House.
