Rigly, alongside his compatriots like Sauce 81, RLP (Cosmopolyphonic), Ichiro, diyTokion and Fujimoto Tetsuro have kept their feet firmly in the forward sounds and stayed true to pushing the sonic boundaries.

This takes my 3 hour set and compresses it into a 2 hour fragmented interpretation.
Also aired on BBC RADIO 1 on September 1, 2012.

A series of fragmented audio edits based upon my live DJ set recordings. Each one will attempt to capture the feeling and direction of the night, giving those who were there a reminder of the events they experienced while giving those who were not present a fragmented distortion of what they missed.

A musician on a mission, Navid Izadi has quickly risen from a San Francisco club kid to buzzing new one to watch. Rolling as a DJ, singer and rapper (but rarely over rap beats), and producing music that effortlessly weaves between influences, his talents are being drafted in and championed by a range of industry heavyweights. Aside from recent andupcoming vocal features for major leaguers like Deniz Kurtel, Soul Clap and close friends PillowTalk, the past year has also seen Navid remix the likes of Pezzner and Miguel Migs. The future holds much more with several EPs lined up for the 'crew love' label family (Wolf + Lamb and the forthcoming Soul Clap Records) as well as a full-length album that will see the young Renaissance man stretching his musical legs far and wide On the sublime debut EP for Double Standard Records, A-side 'Ain't Got The Time' pays homage to trippy, proto electronics but with Navid's forward-thinking attitude. Here is "Follow The Leader" which will be digital only on this release....enjoy!!

Solid Steel (26th April) After last week's frantic session, it's a more laid back affair all round as we welcome Mixmaster Morris in Hour 1 for our 25th Anniversary slot. His history with Solid Steel goes back to the early days when he would often sit in for Coldcut on Kiss FM, alongside his own show The Chill Out Zone. He is also responsible for producing arguably one of the best remixes for Coldcut, with the classic Irresistible Force Full Chill Mix of 'Autumn Leaves' and productions on Rising High and Ninja Tune. We open with Robert Glasper, the wonderful Letherette remix for Bibio and tracks from Romare, Cid Rim and Oriol. Plus there's music from Lapalux, Fatima, Floating Points Ensemble and closing on the Idjut Boys remix for Smith and Mudd.

Scuba's Ibiza After Hours Mix for IMS

It was a long time we wanted to release these 2 brilliant downtempo tunes by our old time friend Chris Carter. "Rolling Stone" is a trippy downtempo collaboration with James Cocozza, where you can hear the psychedelic synth sounds of the 70s mixed with some cinematic vibes, while "Rite on" is a more strict and driving tune with lots of rhythmic changes and frightening atmospheres... Definitely dark room and movie compatible tunes, but take a listen by yourself to decide!

Scuba After Hours Mix Part 2

Hotflush is a record label launched by Paul Rose aka Scuba in 2003. Its early period was spent as a central part of London's Bass Music scene which exploded in the mid 2000s, although the label has always been difficult to pigeonhole musically and recent output has focused on Techno and House.
