Te Puke Thunder is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most sought after cannabis strains. 

Hailing from the volcanic regions of New Zealand, Te Puke Thunder is prized for its larger buds and higher potency. Gaining popularity in the 70s, the polyploid plant succeeded in becoming a well renowned strain and was notably displayed in a number of Amsterdam coffee shops.

New Zealand authorities believe they have successfully wiped out the majority, if not all, possible trails for the whereabouts of the venerable strain. Some believe there may not be a single seed left with the unmatched genetics of the original Te Puke Thunder strain.

This edit (originally created in 2008 for my dj sets) was supposed to be included on the recently released third Autonomous Africa 12". Unfortunately I didn't get permission to use it in time for that release but permission has now been given, so rather than wait for AA 004 in 2015 it is going to come out as a limited edition hand stamped 10" as soon as possible. This week, the Multi Culti label dropped their new comp, Sun Gaze II, a four-track ensemble of colourful, global club tracks. Our favourite here at Complex HQ, Moscoman's fuzzy foot-stomper "Se Acabo", sees the Berlin-via-Tel-Aviv producer concoct a rich melting pot of influences that seem to hint at just about every corner of the world. With its tropical percussion, cumbia-esque cadence and marching bass line, you could deploy this cut in any club in the world and expect a rapturous response from the crowd.

Sun Gaze II is the latest part of the six-part Sun Gaze & Moon Faze compilation. Sun Gaze II is released on Apr. 25, while the full compilation will be released on Jun. 21 as a limited edition box set.

The inaugural release of air miles is introduced by Jeigo with his "An Ode To Midnight" EP which was written and produced in the Spring of 2018, between the cities of London and Paris.

The tone is set from the off with the eponymously named first track of the release 'An Ode To Midnight'. The tracks mellow break beat feel is met by warm rushing pads, ebbing and flowing between textures of the night before last.
