Mark Hawkins’ latest EP on fabric’s artist led Houndstooth label is a fitting conclusion to the recent release of his third album, The New Normal.

Alongside two alternative versions of Hawkins’ magnum opus ‘Let It Slide’ featuring the vocal talents of Mr Jamie Lidell, which include the original four minute thirty-three long Dub, and a new snappy radio edit, two new unreleased tracks are also featured.

Memory of A Dancefloor’s super-saw techno beat and breakbeat echoes give way to a bpm escalation that feels almost explosive when it resolves, sounding like the frustrated desires of thousands of clubbers finally coming to a realisation that soon they may be able to return to their spiritual homes

Rollout’s fast paced electro breaks and staccato arpeggios are impossible to resist whether you’re body popping or simply head nodding.
