London nightclub fabric and its in-house, artist-led label Houndstooth have released a huge, 111-track compilation of previously unreleased music.  #SaveFabric features tracks from Clams Casino, Skream, Machinedrum, Coldcut, Simian Mobile Disco, Clark, Howie B, µ-Ziq, Terry Francis, Mumdance, Caspa & Rusko, Roman Flügel, Route 94, and many other artists who all donated their music.

On 7th September, fabric’s license was revoked forcing the closure of one of the UK’s most important venues and adding to the 50% of clubs closed in London since 2008.  A court date for Fabric’s appeal hearing has been set for 28th November.  With proceeds going towards their ongoing campaign to re-open, purchasing the #SaveFabric Compilation – which costs just £9.99 – is a chance for fans of music, clubs, culture and nightlife to support fabric and Houndstooth.

Snow Ghosts have released their new single, ‘Heavy Heart’, the second track to be taken from their upcoming album A Quiet Ritual, out May 3rd.

A chillingly beautiful and captivating track, ‘Heavy Heart’ sees pensive soundscapes and ethereal vocals build to a climactic, distorted crescendo, while hauntingly catchy vocal melodies convey its unsettling sentiment. 

Snow Ghosts say, "’Heavy Heart’ is ultimately a love song. It addresses how trauma can affect those closest to you and how love can become the most beautiful of burdens."

‘Heavy Heart’ follows the release of ‘Rip’, the first track to be taken from their upcoming album A Quiet Ritual. Centring around the theme of death, the album seeks to process the shock and grief of bereavement and its aftermath, as well as casting back across history and other cultures for their own metaphors and coping strategies. 

The band explain, “’A Quiet Ritual’ maps out stages of the grieving process and how every individual deals with it in their own unique way. Most importantly how they handle their own heart and the other fragile hearts inevitably scattered around them.”

Warsaw-based cellist Resina follows up last year’s brilliant ‘Traces’ album with a new EP featuring one of its standout tracks, ‘Trigger’, plus a set of remixes from four of her favourite artists: Ben Frost, Lotic, Abul Mogard and 130701 label-mate, Ian William Craig.
‘Traces – Remixes’ is a hugely impressive, diverse and high-quality set. Offering some insights to the cellist’s own sensibility and pointing back to last year’s ‘Traces’ album, the EP also serves as a wonderful standalone release.
