Kat Nine is a creative music (and art) technologist, excited and passionate about both the audible and visual forms of art.

Kat's sound ranges between the Tech House and Techno genres within the 120 - 130bpm tempo range. His sound is generally quite hard hitting and upbeat, with much love for a heavy deep bassline, powerful synth stabs and big techy sounds.

His style is inspired from the likes of Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Luciano, Adam Beyer, Carlo Lio, Julian Jeweil, Nicole Moudaber, Nick Curly, Reset Robot, Nic Fanciulli, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Matador, Magda, Troy Pierce and Loco Dice - to name a few.

The Kat has performed in New Zealand, Hong Kong, a few smaller intimate festivals in the UK, amongst many other bars, clubs and festivals in and around the Cambridge area, which is his home town. This year the Kat will be on the hunt to play out around London, following his move to the city late 2018. There will also be an appearance at Hogsozzle Music Festival summer 2019 where he will be playing the peak slot on the Saturday night in the dance stage, following the big success of his performance in 2018. You can see some of Kat's explosive DJ sets on his YouTube channel, which range from two deck beatmatch-mixing to the more technical 4 channel digital DJ-ing utilising drum machines and an array of effects. After travelling and preparing over the last half a decade, the Kat has been planning, producing and creating to the max in preparation for a big release with his new label 'Fraktion Music', which will be showcasing his very unique sounding productions.

Kat Nine has had previous signings with Incognitus Recordings (2014) featuring a collaboration with Chicago house legend Robert Owens (Fingers Inc./Frankie Knuckles). His intention is also to release collaborations on the label with a varying array of musicians and producers across the music industry.

'The journey of a determined artist in search of success in the music industry'.

This is the overall notion behind Kat Nine's work, which is displayed on his website www.katninemusic.com. The Kat likes to share his experience of the music industry and focus on the long journey to his idea of 'success'. His aim is to share this with like-minded people and give them inspiration. The website features documentation of his works in the form of Blogs and Vlogs. It also features a shop where you can purchase the well-received artwork that he has developed for use with the record label. 

He will be selling prints, some originals, printing onto merchandise and other mediums, which will be of both his label and non-label related artwork. You will be able to find this on the Kat Nine website. 

2019 will see a big comeback for Kat Nine as his label 'Fraktion Music' is setup and poised for it's first release in Spring 2019. The Kat has the music, the art and the label and the right attitude to make this project something very special.
