A very special recording from our 10 years of MFM event at Fairfield Amphitheatre last September between Jamie and Lauren. It was beautiful to see two close friends throwing down tracks, lost in the music and the thing that they love. You know things are going well when an hour into their set, Jamie and Lauren both asked if we were recording the set. Yesterday was Jamie's birthday and we and Lauren felt it was the right time to release this mix, as a celebration of Jamie and his music. Mystery Friend es un Dj de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Fundador de Fusion Dance, fiesta y ciclo mensual de radio el cual engloba diversos géneros orientados a las raíces y a los nuevos sonidos de la música electrónica. 
Su búsqueda y selección profundiza en los orígenes del House, Techno, Acid, New Beat e Ítalo Disco, reviviendo la nostalgia de los clubes de los 80’s y principios de los 90’s, incorporando la frescura de la nueva generación. 
Se presentó en diversas fiestas como Fa Got, Loca, Club Total, Acab, Fun Fun y 808 entre otras fiestas del under de Buenos Aires. 
Su sonido energiza el ambiente generando un movimiento constante en la pista de baile, donde la sensualidad, el gueto, la fantasía y el sudor van de la mano. 

En su desempeño como productor, lanzó dos EP’s (Mystery Box I & II) y cinco álbumes de edits (80’s Mystery Edits) y forma parte del dúo Romance Layers con el cual ha lanzado varios singles y dos EP’s.

Mix of the Week #530: Desert Island Disco - Buttery Cuts

It is not everyday we are sent a 5 hour mix from someone we have asked to join our Phonica mix series; but when Sheffield & Manchester legend Luke Una sends one… you have to jump straight into it! Having become first recognised in the late 80’s and 90’s as one half of production team “The Unabombers” with Justin Crawford, Luke over the years has shown to be a master in all genres be it Balearic, to Brazilian to E soul, House, Disco and Techno, you name it! With his Worldwide FM show over the years gaining a cult following Luke has gained an even more of a broader crowd from his curation of his E Soul Cultura compilation series via the label Mr.Bongo (Both comps topping our EOY lists in 2022 and 2023). This exact vast taste (that is displayed in these compilations) is very much pummelled into this five hour journey of a mix like a piece of clay and sculpted into a fine piece of art. Good news, episode 88 of Pacific Spirit has landed.

A live recording from the legendary San Francisco "Wine Hole", better known as @barpartime has surfaced from the evening of September 2, 2022. The recording is a dusty stumble through the first two hours of a 5 hour B2B session between DJ D.DEE and Jeremy Castillo. It's jam packed with plenty of c-sides and alternate versions of classic songs you never needed to hear again. 

Slow your day down, relax, and remind yourself music is awesome and that you love listening to it.
