"This was my second year in a row playing at The Cityfox Odyssey in which the first year I played was in the downtempo/ambient room.  When I wasn't djing at the event on New Years 2018 I was spending the majority of my time in Gunita's Tavern. So when New Years Eve 2019 came around I naturally wanted to be part of the Gunita's Tavern because of it's really heady vibe and underground feel that was a nice departure from the large rave it was a part of. It was also a place where you could unwind from the large crowds and the odds were better that you would run into a friend or more to have a good conversation while enjoying a drink. 

Rave culture had a lot of momentum coming into 2020 with optimism and excitement that had been building for most of that decade which resulted in more festivals and events due to popular demand. So ending the decade and bringing in a new one at The Cityfox Odyssey because Cityfox had been producing top notch events during this time period was special. I played during New Years day from 6-8pm while Jamie Jones and then Ame & Dixon were playing in the main room so the vibe was thick in the building. The crowd was in prime time form and they brought the energy that was the catalyst for my set. I instantly felt comfortable in the surroundings as a result and spent most of my time after my set in the tavern soaking up the vibes from the dj's sets that played after me. I stayed until the end in the tavern like I did the year before to conclude another memorable New Years day at Gunita's Tavern at The Cityfox Odyssey."

Almost Famous is a Berlin based DJ. Growing up with 90s hip hop, he gradually found his way to house and disco music through funk and soul. While he always had a passion for sharing music and collecting records, he started DJing about 2.5 years ago. What started as a gig for fun at a friend’s birthday party slowly but surely developed into a real passion for mixing music on a regular basis. Together with a couple of friends, Almost Famous organizes and hosts ‘Disko, No Disko’, a recurring club night at Humboldthain Club in Berlin. Though bringing joy to people on the dance floors of Berlin is what initially drove his love for mixing music, he adapted to the current circumstances by starting to contribute to more and more guest mixes for house and disco lovers to enjoy, wherever they are.

Tilman is a DJ, producer and label owner based in Mainz, Germany. After running the Klamauk label for quite a while already in a successful way he also takes care of Fine, the label he runs with Johannes Albert.

Tilman is positive all the way, not just regards his music, but as well as a person. Coming from the hip hop background, making his way through house, soul, disco and funk he now is where he is. Displaying a huge variety of sounds and styles. Always been a part of the Rhein-Main club scene Tilman played an essential role in having his own club nights as well as gigs all over Europe and North America. As a child, he enjoyed drum and piano lessons, which helped him a lot to get a good sense of rhythm, melodies, and harmonies.

In the last years he started producing music, mostly using his favorite synths, drum machines and samples to release House Music not only on his own imprints, but also on Faces Records, Tenderpark, Quality Vibe, Needs to name a few. You can say, that 2018 was a positive turning point in his career. After the success of his “Love EP“ on Fine and “In My Mind EP“ on Faces the word has spread and so he is travelling a lot as a DJ now. He seems to run on more powerful batteries than the rest of us, so take a listen to his adventure through dance music, new and old on many podcast mixes for Ninja Tune, Sloth Boogie, Rinse FM or LA based Far Away.

"The Italian born, Berlin based, DJ and producer Ruff Stuff have rocked up on a host on different labels, including Shall Not Fade, Madhouse Records, Suol, Sloth Boogie, Ruff Stuff music LTD, Apparel music and STEP Recordings.
However, it's the work on his own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which he’s arguably best renowned. 

Grew up during the ‘90’s electronic wave, firstly as clubber and then as DJ and vinyl enthusiast, in the mid-2000s he decided to start produce electronic music. The first steps were moved on the Idm and Ambient territories, driven by his love for ethereal melodies and intricate broken beats.

The shift to House happened after re-discovering different classic records hidden in his collection.
From here the idea to create a music project focused on representing the vibes of the old-school House, Techno and Garage with a propensity to find the newest, freshest sounds. 
Rough samples, hypnotic melodies, groovy beats and vocals are the main ingredients that marks the Ruff Stuff’s sound."

SOULDYNAMIC(Naples,ITALY)

Inspired by the deep passion for true underground music Luca and Stefano met in a records shop in the early 2000s to dj and produce. After a few years working behind the scenes studying music and listening to their inspirational artists, in 2007 they founded their own project Souldynamic, the fusion of the true love for soul music and the dynamic sound of the the underground beats of our days. In the latest years they worked for and remixed, Louie Vega, Melba Moore, Dennis Ferrer, Josh Milan and plenty others.
Since then they have travelled all over Europe and part of the world, leaving their small home town in the heart of Italy to collaborate with some of the most influential heads in the house music scene, sharing the dj booth with some of the coolest artists in the House Music scene.
Luca & Stefano have held residency at Southport Weekender’s open air festival SuncéBeat in Croatia since 2010 which then cemented their place at Southport Weekender itself playing at the lastest events. Due to the high demand for their music they embarked on a magical United Kingdom journey playing regularly in one of the most influential cities on the underground music scene, London! 
In their early careers they also appeared as guest djs in some of the finest clubs in Europe such as Basic (Naples), Sound Department (Taranto IT), Room 26 (Rome), EGG (London), Kee Club (Hong Kong), Cavo Paradiso (Mykonos), Drop (Hong Kong), Ce la Vi (Singapore), Urban Klub (Italy), Supperclub (Amsterdam), Duel:Beat (Naples), Bault (Amsterdam), Warehouse (Birmingham) just to name a few. 
Souldynamic’s single “Equatoriale” have had a great response in clubland after being played by the Legendary Chicago based dj Lil Louis at “Concrete” in Paris, subsequently a video was posted which has received over 2.5 millions views online, track is released on Tribe Records (UK) and reached the #1 in the download chart. 
The Italian guys performed for Boiler Room in Naples in July 2016 and to enter in their new decade of career the dynamic duo launched their own records label Excedo.
Driven by a true and deep passion for real underground music they will keep working hard trying to realise their own dreams and spread their love for music all over the globe.
