Rareman was back behind the wheels of steel for two hours of dubstep and 140 flavours. He ran lots of new tracks from the likes of Inner Echo, Truant, Delian Sound and Leftlow, before going into a classics segment in which he played bits from Kode 9, Mala, James Blake and more.

Borrowed Identity's musical upbringing is best described as a smorgasbord of concurrent sonic templates. Rooted in Romania but nurtured in deep South Germany, a love of Romanian folk music, Moodymann and Snoop Dogg deem to be the basis of a pretty eclectic sound palette. Reaching beyond the typical four four stratosphere and into the domain of what he describes as "hard banging techno, cheesy pop music, funky disco and experimental noise" he’s been releasing a fleet of material since he jumped into the scene back in 2012. In truth, you only need to look to labels like Mistress Recordings (DVS1's self-operated imprint), Home Taping and most notably, Ostgut Ton, to hear his flourishing cultivated style, but it's his newly coined live show that he’ll be presenting to us next month aims to really showcase his experimental taste and musical dynamism. 

Set to grace our Martin Audio rig on Saturday 7th February alongside Kyle Hall, Funkineven and K15, the 24 year old producer has kindly offered to answer a few probing questions on his musical journey and illustrate exactly what he means by ‘never limiting himself to one genre’ by putting together an exclusive promo mix…

Iñaki Hurtado Diaz A.K.A. Hurlee was born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain in 1986. At young age he became interested in electronic music being influenced by the sounds of house and disco. He began Djing at popular clubs in the city  sharing cabin with best dj’s in town. In the field of musical production he is working with labels like: Poetry In Motion, Black Jukebox, Large Music, Peppermint, DiKSO, Masterworks Music, Sub_Urban among them.

The Eighth Addition of the Vol 2. ABS Podcast series warmly welcomes Dutch-house specialist, Toman. With a super special mix on the horizon it features 100% of his own unreleased tracks and collaborations.

Now based in Amsterdam, he moved to the Dutch capital in early 2018 — and has barely had time to pause for breath since. A producer who boasts an impressively prolific streak, Toman started his musical journey at an early age by learning to play the drums. In recent times, His unique take on house and techno has led him to much-renowned outlets such as @we_r_house, @pivrecords, @cyclicrecords, and @blindvisionrecords. In terms of gigs for 2019, Toman is scheduled to play at the Easter Awakenings alongside some of the biggest names in the game, as well as @straf_werk Festival in the middle of August. 

Smoothly transitioning from minimal through to the deeper side of house, Toman’s diverse musical outlook is refreshingly hard to categorise and evident through his mix, where he boasts tracks scheduled for release later this year alongside some unsigned gems.
