We are delighted to present this special pair of tracks from Spanish producer and DJ Kiko Navarro on glorious 12″ vinyl, providing a glimpse of his much anticipated forthcoming album ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’.

Opening track ‘Twilight’ will need no introduction for crate diggers and 80’s club kids. A complete remaking of the Maze classic, Kiko’s version raises the tempo into deep house territory, retaining the dreamy, sensual feel of Frankie Beverly’s original.
Providing a sumptuous taste of the old-school, Kiko’s own acid-laden, energetic dub version of ‘Twilight’ is sure to wreak havoc on the dance-floor, with perhaps a little hint of good old fashioned euphoria as it reaches it’s synth string-filled climax.
On the B-Side ‘Cranc’ provides a raw, analogue, Detroit-esque synth jam, building an intense groove with an insistent, wrong-footing bassline underpinning dizzying arpeggios, jazzy stabs and warm chords.

London based DJ and producer Dan Shake gets tapped to supply the next release on Denis Sulta’s Sulta Selects offshoot Silver Service with ‘Daisy’s Dance / Bert’s Groove’, a pair of disco-tinged house cuts with raw dancefloor energy. 

Since emerging with a standout 12" on Moodymann's Mahogani Music label, Dan Shake has moved from strength to strength. Throughout his career he's released on Lumberjacks In Hell, Delusions Of Grandeur and has built a stacked catalogue of originals material via his own Shake imprint. After releasing the ‘High Life' remixes just before summer and their more electronic EP on Aus Music, it’s time to get label heads Detroit Swindle back on Heist. They come in with full force, delivering a set of Swindle styled house tracks, accompanied by a jazzy remix by Volcov in his Isoul8 moniker with guest appearances by Kaidi Tatham on keys and Nigel Bennett on vocals.

The EP kicks off with ‘The life behind things’; a life affirming soulful house tune that’s cleverly built around a set of switching organ stabs. The energy in this track keeps on building with the filter slowly opening up while live percussion oozes its way through the track (courtesy of Mauskovic Dance Band member Chris Bruining). After a well working surprise acid break, the track breaks down into a jazzy organ solo by Byron the Aquarius, building up momentum till the full track comes back in for a ecstatic delivery of feel-good dancefloor emotions.
