How It Feels

[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] proudly presents its 36th release "From Siberia With Dub" - a collaboration of talented musicians from the electronic scene of Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk (Russia), Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer (@enercube and @x_fr) x Radio Badjay (@radiobadjay). This EP features 4 original tracks and 5 exciting remixes from guest dub techno artists such as Lotech/Hijack (@lotech-hijack), Deemkeyne (@ueberlingen-deemkeyne), Davor Tosovic (@davortosoviclive), BT Gate X-138 (@bt-gate-x-138) and Emmasoul (@sphelele-emmasoul).

"From Siberia With Dub" is an exploration of the musical heritage of Siberia, imbued with the energy and creative inspiration of two projects coming together to create a unique sound. From powerful bass to mystical atmospheric sounds, this release immerses the atmosphere of dubtechno, giving listeners a unique sonic exploration experience.

"From Siberia With Dub" is not only music, but also a story about the fusion of two musical movements, embodied in sounds and rhythms. This release invites everyone on a journey through the soundscapes of Siberia, inspiring experimentation and opening new horizons in the world of electronic music.

Ltd, W/Lbl is a label based out Berlin that specializes in sophisticated, Classical, Jazz and Ethnic oriented electronic music. Since 2017 they have been putting out two vinyl series - one that features re-issues from previously released tracks and another that showcases all newly released work. Today's post involves the latter and includes an original from up and coming artist Alberto De Santiago, better known as Never Dull.

Based out of Los Angeles, Never Dull has been on the scene for only about a year now but has already released work for labels such as Feedasoul, Dansu Discs, and Hopera Records. In his latest effort titled Cool Jazz Boogie, Never Dull manages to pair sultry Spanish vocals along with a groovy assortment of languid synths and gently plucked guitar strings. In that sense, the title of the song is fairly straightforward in describing the vibe it creates and will certainly play well where ever lounging and relaxation is the prerogative.

Lebanese Feedasoul Records 32nd EP is 'Impossible Things' courtesy of Belgian's Max Telaer. Berlin's Habibi Grooves' take on the title track 'Impossibles Things' brings another dimension to the track with a flow more associated with dusty hiphop. With it's piano loops, MPC vocal chops as well as the tantalising acid-riddled bassline that ties it all together. This is a serious vibe.

If Russian producer Anton Bogomolov (aka Scruscru) is not on your radar yet, he will be after listening to his latest offering on Berlin imprint LTDWLBL. Having previously released music on labels such as Minor Notes Recordings, and most recently Nomada out of Colombia, Mr. Bogomolov continues his run of phenomenal releases with a brand new EP titled LTDBLBL005. As the name denotes, this is the 5th record to be put out by LTDWLBL. Up until this point, the label has only produced vinyl featuring tracks from various artists. However, this time around, they have decided to devote an entire 12'' to originals from Scruscru himself - and we could not be more pleased with the decision!

The song we are premiering for our listeners today is the A1 from the release titled "Waka-no-ura Bay." Named after a Japanese heritage site known for its shimmering tidal flats, old stone bridges, and ancient shrines and temples, this track will leave you captivated in a similar vein with its rich textures; colorful arrangments; and crashing melodies. Being a label known for their sophisticated, classical, jazz and ethnic-oriented electronic style, we honestly could not think of a better artist for LTDWLBL to collaborate with on their first, full-length solo feature than Scruscru. If you're like me, hopefully, this will be a paring we will see again in the months and years to come!

Scruscru is knocking 'em out right now and we are loving it. Going from strength to strength it seems he can do wrong. Laying his famed swung out grooves over some cleverly chopped samples foraged from the depths of a dusty record shop. This wobbly funk jam is soothing to the mind, body & soul.
