The very first release from Drop Dance Society Records! It had to be something special. Jonathan Alvarez Hernandez, also known as Tete de la Course, was our inaugural guest when we introduced the Drop concept parties in Barcelona. It was clear to us that he should be our first release on the label. 'The Light' is not only a reference to Tete de la Course's favorite track (Michelle Weeks' 'The Light'), but it is also an exceptional record available in two versions: The Club Mix fully embodies the Drop Dance Society DNA, delivering a true dance floor banger driven by the central element of the record, the bass. The piano and violins add that classic house touch! The Soulful Trip Mix exudes pure class, dialings down the intensity and allowing more space for a female vocal, alongside an unending bells loop that will stay with you for a long time. This EP came together almost a year after surviving an accident that happened while touring and almost cost his life. It led to multiple brain surgeries, countless hospital visits and a long recovery phase. Now that the doctors cleared him from any permanent damage it’s time to celebrate that with a 4 track EP on his label of trust Houseum.

Wrecked But Recovered” an uptempo house track, energetic and uplifting as the  current mood of Marc Brauner. The track focuses on a rolling drum rhythm and a banging baseline that are accompanied by a lush pad and high pitched vocal samples. The track was entirely made on the MPC Live 2 and came together almost a year after recovering from an almost fatal accident Marc suffered early 2023 in Vietnam. 
This release marks a new musical chapter in his career and a fresh start to his creative journey.

Holo's debut album is a mixture of old and new tracks, so it contains a diverse set of influences, styles and ideas. It’s this inconsistency, however, that brings the album together. Whether it’s the sudden piano in ‘In Tokyo’, overdriven guitars on ‘Roses’ or percussive video game sounds in ‘Super Nice’, every track has unexpected, contrasting elements that subvert the audience’s expectations and force their attention. The album is as much an expression of his love for music in all its forms as it is a rejection of tropes in electronic music, and it's his best work to date.

Holo started ‘You’ how you first hear it - with a kick, bass and chords. The voices in the background are his car radio, which lent the track a kind of disassociating feeling. The other elements are inspired by Rimbaudian, Herbert and Denis Sulta - the latter most obviously, inspiring the lead synth which dances around the upper register.
