The Swindlers return and not a minute too soon as far as we’re
concerned!  The hardest working duo in house music have had a
mental couple of years playing every club and festival known to
man, having babies, seemingly buying up the entire stock of vintage
studio gear off ebay and thankfully knocking out some banging tunes
on top of all that.  Well all club bangers gratefully received here
at Freerange so with open arms and ears we’re happy to be bringing
you the Figure Of Speech EP.
Just as the non-believers think they know what to expect from these two they’ve thrown a rather large curveball and headed down a different road. Figure Of Speech wears some African influences on its sleeve with a bumping party groove punctuated by some nifty
afro beat keys stabs and just a hint of acid. Victoria’s Secret
treads more familiar Detroit Swindle territory with the boys trademark shuffling beats and larger-than-life side-chained pads bringing the drama. Finally, we have suitably titled Live At The Cosmic Carnival where we’re treated to some peaktime tribal business with rolling bass, dubbed out dancehall science and some nifty conga work. All in all, some fiyah for the dancefloor from a pair of lads who know a thing or two about how to get a room jumping.

​Art Alfie joined the Toy Tonics crew! 
You know him from Studio Barnhus. He released his album on Axel Boman's label last year and a couple of hot tracks with longtime partner Mr. Tophat before that.

His first EP for Toy Tonics features 3 of the sweetest bangers he did till now. What a wonderful vibe! And the remix... Killer. By Stockholm’s amazing newcomers Mount Liberation Unlimited (who just released an EP on Permanent Vacation).

Art Alfie is busy these days: besides his involvement with Toy Tonics he started an own label (Velvet Pony). ​Even if you might know him mainly from the kick-ass dancefloor stuff he has been doing with Karlovak and the Studio Barnhus gang - there is some more complex background here: Alfie used to play in hardcore and psychedelic bands and has a real golden hand when it comes to work with musicians. In fact currently he is also producing some stuff for Swedish supergroup/hotshot band ‚Off The Meds‘!

The «prince of the soulful house» (Trax Magazine) is not that kind of person who likes to stay inactive.

With his new coming EP Queens of Sand the Parisian producer takes us into a new story as rousing as mystical, continuing to break away from the codes of classic disco-house by blithely mixing them with hip-hop rhythms from across the Atlantic.

The EP begins with « Amina de Zaria », a downtempo introduction supported by a catchy guitar riff that immediately sets a funky scene for what’s following on this new release.

The "prince of the soulful house" (Trax Magazine) is not that kind of person who likes to stay inactive.
