Ever since the first white labels appeared at the end of Summer 2013, [Emotional] Especial has been putting out music that is slightly left of (club music) centre. Influenced as much by and including dub, electro, disco, proto-house, house and techno, guided more by a feeling than a sound.

This thinking has been that exemplified by every 10th release being a label sampler – a showcase of unreleased tracks or remixes of what has come before, plus the odd one off cut by an artist to watch.

On the flip, the label welcomes rising star, Remotif. With a series of EPs showcasing a growing talent, his recent Coymix release sealed the deal. Here, his comedically titled Beam Me Up Softwoiii belies a party anthem, where breaks and arps rise in unison before an Aphex sunrise burst, drops and heads down in pure dance.

It's fair to say Pleasure Voyage are having a moment. Coming straight off the back of their stunning debut LP for Prins Thomas' Horisontal Mambo label last year, Budapest's hottest property have since enjoyed killer releases on MMDiscos and Pleasant Systems. Their rich vein of form continues with the Euforia EP, a deeply dreamy set of tracks made perfect for balmy summer nights. Seductive keys, heavenly flutes and gentle guitar licks combine with classic piano chords for a paradisiacal experience. Remixes come in the form of a cool street-soul infused take from Joe Morris, a groovy deep vibe from Residentes Balearicos and a heavyweight progressive workout from Running Hot.

Freedom meant different things to different people. It came in different forms... There were globally recognised freedoms; human rights that we all should have though many didn't. There were personal freedoms, the little things that were individual to you, some might understood them but others might not. Then there were shared freedoms; burying yourself in a good book, beavering away in the kitchen, sweating it out in the gym, or losing yourself in the music and dancing your cares away.

It's no secret we've been fans of Leipzig's R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings for some time. Well now they're expanding the label family with a brand spanking new offshoot, Breakfree Records, headed up by R.A.N.D. label manager Reece Walker and his pal Salomo. It just so happens that the pair are also very talented producers (you might have heard their tracks on the parent label before) so they're taking matters into their own hands for the debut release, FREE01, which in typical fashion sees them journey through house grooves and techy pumpers.

Jelle Meeuwsen is also known as Poko Poko in his home country of Holland. He is part of a new generation of artists, committed to the development and furthering of house music as both a culture and an artistic expression. His past releases have included a few highlights before reaching Percebes's catalogue, namely as a fellow artist for Tomorrow Is Now, Kid! - the Amsterdam based label who's studio housed Ka§par and Helder Russo as resident artists for years.

From a shared sense of respect and artistic complementarity, Jelle reached out with new material and Percebes had no chance but to develop and release it as the amazingly emotional "Deambolar".

"Deambolar" is Meeuwsen's first for Percebes Música, and a deeply personal release that relates and describes hard moments and their overcoming through resilience and courage. "Desolate" is a beautiful track that soothes with it's driving beats and melancholic feeling - like crying on the dance floor, thankful that you've made it out of that relationshjp in one piece. "Flood" is a sublimely arranged piece of dramatic and epic house music, a clear barrage of sentiment, introspective anger and the force to overcome, while "Swashbuckler" is a hot acid number with a huge break beat intermission that is sure to rock many a demaning floor.
