Whilst the war in Ukraine continues to unfold we couldn't just sit by and do nothing. With Nowadays we have a platform to help make a difference and take action, so we asked friends, family and label members to contribute to a compilation, of which all profits will be donated to The Voices of Children Foundation in Ukraine.

The Voices of Children Foundation has been helping children affected by war since 2015. They provide psychological and psychosocial support to children. It helps them overcome the consequences of armed conflict and aids in further development.

"Marc Brauner makes his return to the label, this time collaborating with fellow Berliner, Ulrich Harrison - better known by moniker Tender Games - on five summertime sweeteners.

These two producers are no stranger to working together, co-running their own imprint, Nostalgics Records in their home town of Berlin. This collaboration then came together naturally, and represents the ideal blend of Marc Brauner’s syncopated rhythmic tendencies, and Tender Games’ musical antecedents in soul music and penchant for instrumentation.

‘Concrete Jungle’ epitomises this fusion: a two-step rhythm carries a deep bassline which cruises beneath a blissed-out trumpet melody. ‘You Keep Me Up’ and ‘Listen’ are skippy old school bangers, the former complete with anthemic piano stabs à la Manix and Inner City and the latter peppered with blithe whispers of a saxophone. ‘It Makes Me’ follows suit, substituting hi-hats for a focus on funk-inflected low ends before the UKG-leaning ‘Violation’ draws things to a close with MC vocal chops and bass womp ruffage."

Jelle Meeuwsen is also known as Poko Poko in his home country of Holland. He is part of a new generation of artists, committed to the development and furthering of house music as both a culture and an artistic expression. His past releases have included a few highlights before reaching Percebes's catalogue, namely as a fellow artist for Tomorrow Is Now, Kid! - the Amsterdam based label who's studio housed Ka§par and Helder Russo as resident artists for years.

From a shared sense of respect and artistic complementarity, Jelle reached out with new material and Percebes had no chance but to develop and release it as the amazingly emotional "Deambolar".

"Deambolar" is Meeuwsen's first for Percebes Música, and a deeply personal release that relates and describes hard moments and their overcoming through resilience and courage. "Desolate" is a beautiful track that soothes with it's driving beats and melancholic feeling - like crying on the dance floor, thankful that you've made it out of that relationshjp in one piece. "Flood" is a sublimely arranged piece of dramatic and epic house music, a clear barrage of sentiment, introspective anger and the force to overcome, while "Swashbuckler" is a hot acid number with a huge break beat intermission that is sure to rock many a demaning floor.

Antoine is a lover of smooth deep house melodies and hip hop, as well as seductive French and Russian words cut into his samples.

The original versions begin with a magnificent fusion of jazz, funk and house vibes, having honed his already recognizable style in his studio and using samples in a compartment with analog synthesizers, Antoine declared himself in his native France, and far beyond its borders.
Soul Farmer is a smart, fast and rhythmic track with sample editing and an infectious groove in collaboration with Ghetto 25, next comes an energetic, dynamic remix from Wilt, this is a club house track with a touch of techno and a slight sourness, which will obviously work on the dance floor, the boss of the famous label Happiness Therapy - Crowd Control finishes this journey, this is a subtle but sublime remix, with dreamy pads and a classic bass part, emphasizing the now familiar and memorable melody of the original.

The French electronic music scene is in very healthy place. A new wave of artists has emerged
in recent years, representing a contemporary take on the house genre we know and love.
Musically shrewd with wide-reaching influences, a handful of producers are leading the charge, and one of those is Berzingue.

He made his debut on Pont Neuf Records in 2022, with the release of a debut EP
Quitter Paname, which was enthusiastically received. He returns on January 20th with a new single "One", the maiden single from his new EP due in March: Architectures. 

“I wanted to explore a more breaksy universe on One, compared to what I usually compose, whilst
keeping a certain deep house touch on the melodic and vocal. I composed it with classic house
machines, such as the 606, 808 and 909, but also with a whole melodic section that leans closer to ‘90s-esque sounds such as the SRX Dance Trax, JV1080 and Club Organ”.-Berzingue.

There's a summery euphoric feel to "One", like a festival sunset with your feet in the sand. The heady female vocals, breakbeat-esque percussion, and chuggy, low-slung bassline all dovetail in harmony, taking us through feelings of zesty ebullience throughout.
Mixing two distinct musical worlds is no mean feat, yet Berzingue manages to accomplish this with greatease on this new track.
