Lucas Alexander is no ordinary artist. With a mixture of heritage from Wales to Jamaica, the fusion of his upbringing is far from short in his music.

Cutting his teeth early on House & Garage he would travel for hours from his hometown in Cardiff with his record bag in tow to play gigs in Manchester and further. 

Over the last ten years he has honed his craft becoming a regular in the Welsh dance music scene playing alongside every heavyweight under the sun. A graduate of the university of UKG, Lucas Alexander’s perfected a new sound merging Minimal, Garage and Tech House, with his glitched-out, playful 4:4 tracks making their way into the sets of Tristan Da Cunha & Brawther aka Dungeon Meat, Enzo Siragusa, Truly Madly, Appetite's Elliot Schooling & Liam Palmer, Fish56Octagon, Danny Howard, Jamie Jones, Sarah Story, Silva Bumpa, Richy Ahmed, and many more. 

Born and raised in Cardiff, the Jamaican-Welsh artist’s early years were influenced by dubstep, Jungle and UKG. That playfulness shines through his expert productions, which are full of sampled British chit-chat and unexpected yet perfectly-timed cracked-up beats. 

With releases on his own imprint Rarebit records as well Seven Dials, Four Thirty Two, HE.SHE.THEY, a collab with DJ Deeon on Nervous Records, and a remix of Todd Edwards on Defected Records among others, Lucas is on a mission to put Wales on the map and firmly stake his claim of the Dance Music scene.

Nostalgia is a thing that influences our cultural creation and consumption today, but nostalgia is also how Drum & Bass finds a way to reinvigorate itself, and M-zine expresses this feeling immaculately. M-zine’s work is meticulous and transportive. He is an artist plucked from the deepest depths of Drum & bass music, and taking influences from genres like Techno, Hip-Hop, Soul & Funk, M-zine has carved his own niche in the Drum & Bass scene.
M-zine started his journey as a Drum & Bass producer in 2011 with Proximity Recordings with two funky releases in Peristaltic and Riddance. His first Vinyl release came in 2012 with Swiss-based label Demand Records. Endings, a hypnotic low-end roller was heavily supported by some of the heavyweights in Drum & Bass like Doc Scott, Skeptical, Spinline, and Loxy.
M-zine’s watershed moment as producer came in 2013; when he saw his music being released on labels like Dispatch Recordings, 31 Recordings, and Warm Communications, with a special mention by Tom Yorke’s “Pissing In The Wind On A Monday” for his release on 31 Recordings.
With big releases on labels like Dispatch Recordings, Commercial Suicide, Critical Recordings, 31 Records, a thumping release with Belgian trio Bredren that topped the Beatport charts, one LP plus several EPs and singles on Sofa Sound Bristol, and an EP coming out on Subtitles Recordings, M-zine has comfortably registered his name as one of the finest producers in Drum & Bass.

Talented and ambitious young guy, owner of GRIM3Y Events & ONLY.GD.AUDIO, two platforms for pushing and promoting own vision of electronic music, mainly focused around 140bpm grimey, dub, electro, house and wide range of UK bass music. Responsible for live streams, monthly mix series and regular parties across Bristol, DJ NØTHIŃG quickly gained local attention in the underground.
