It’s been one year since the day I’ve lost my laptop on tour. 
July 2nd 2017 was the day my life changed forever. I fell into a depression after that day for many months due to the loss of many projects. 
The worst part is that I wasn't backing many of my projects up on externals at that time, including this tune

I was lucky enough to have an almost finished export of this tune in my SD cards, thats the only reason this tune gets to see the light of day. 

I wasn’t able to fully complete this project because of the loss, I wish I got to sit down and work on this for 1 more hour just to polish it a bit more and get it right.
   One thing I’ve learned going through this experience is I really need to Back My Shit Up. 
And I have been ever since so expect Lots of music coming your way really really soon :] //

He is the co-host and DJ for underground pop label Limited Health and their Rinse FM radio show. He is also a sick graphic designer working with MTV, Vice, NME & many more.

The next release on Psychostasia Recordings (PSY017)​, is Detroit artist, Mr. Brian Neal​. Featured on a past split EP with DJ and producer Reggie Dokes​, we find this talented producer on his own. This EP entitled, “Introducing Brian Neal,” ​presents four tracks​ of Deep House and Detroit Techno. The first track called “ Oooobaby​” was produced by Mr. Neal ​and co-produced​ by Avalon Kalin​. This track immerses you into a world of sexy deepness, with a subtle groove that moves hypnotically. The second track on side A​, is a track called “ Voodoo​.” With a Detroit Techno vibe, this track gives you that feeling of driving the Lodge Freeway with the top down in the Motor City​. On the flip side, Side B​ does not disappoint, with the first track called “ Feel Me​.” It is a soulful presentation of jazz and techno, washed over with a vintage synth that sways delightfully in the groove. Last but not least, is a track called “Panties​,” a sure floor grabber that reminds you of the infamous Detroit dance show called, “ The Scene​.” This funky track will surely snap some necks, and make some heads move on the dance floor. Take this journey with Brian Neal,​ as he continues the Psychostasia Recordings​ tradition of providing electronic intergalactic soul.

When we approached Walker & Royce to make an album in 2016, we knew the guys were pioneering a new sound and thought they would make a timeless album traversing genres and moods.   Needless to say, “Self Help” blew away our expectations, hitting #1 on multiple charts and leading them on a sold-out tour that’s still going a year later. 

It’s impossible to change perfection, but the album was still ripe for some new interpretations from some close Dirtybird family and friends.  John Tejada re-appears after his first appearance on DB003 in 2005 with his remix and dub of “My Own Thang”, taking a stripped back approach with punchy drums and tweaked synths. Justin Martin & Ardalan team up for their take on “Can You Pass That”, with new drums and dramatic risers. Justin Jay surprises everyone with his deeper SoCal version of “Take Me To Your Leader”. J.Phlip is back with her acid lover’s remix of “Rub A Dub” feat. Green Velvet. Walker & Royce deliver their own rework of “Role Models” for their sets, and up and coming producer Franklyn Watts beefs up the bass on “Love and Marriage.” 

Overall, this package is loaded with great versions of W&Rs “Self Help,” so do yourself a solid and help yourself.
