Hello again,

Time for another upload, and the final Global DJ Broadcast World Tour of the year, and it's a very special event for me to be highlighted.

Fewer events around the world have shaped my career as much as Transmission in Prague. Despite never being an official resident, I have felt a sense of responsibility to help build awareness of the Transmission shows to the worldwide audience. 

As this scene continues to grow and evolve, it's so important that events like these are preserved, and to have 20,000 trance fans filling the O2 Arena to celebrate this music that we love is amazing. I'd encourage everyone, no matter where you are in the world, to try to experience Transmission at least once in your life.

So for the 10th anniversary, I was given the privilege of headlining the event, and responsible again for the anthem, themed The Machine of Transformation (produced with good friend Elevation). And this is how it sounded.

I wanted this to be the first track from Drive I shared with you all not because it's the biggest or the best, but because it's probably my personal favourite.

The album was basically inspired by a road trip I took with my wife from New York to Los Angeles last year, taking in Route 66 and numerous ghost towns, deserts, mountain passes, dirt roads etc, and I came up with the melody for this one towards the end, somewhere in the Mojave Wilderness as we finally made it into California, the setting sun of the West in the distance. A long way from home, and still fairly far from our final destination, but the end was in sight. And that's the moment the track basically came to describe. It isn't really a club banger, or a club track. It's just something I felt like writing.

Anyway - enough deep shit. Still feels slightly surreal to be sharing this body of work after waiting so long. More soon.

I worked a lot with Roxanne on this album, as well as singing on this one she also co-wrote three others (Eye Of The Storm, Beautiful Rage and Dynamite). She is also the only collaborator to feature on both 2010's Northern Lights and 2014's DRIVE (go figure, haha).

Anyway I really love this track, especially the lyrical message, and can't wait to start playing it out once I've got a club mix down. Enjoy!
