Laniakea and Hoving met through a community of music producers in the Southwestern German city of Stuttgart, where they are both based. During the pandemic, they started to make music together and found that their respective musical backgrounds complemented each other in an interesting way. Laniakea’s synth soundscapes and beats blend seamlessly with Hoving’s ethereal guitar melodies and drones, creating a laid-back sonic tapestry that is both expansive and intricate. 

The resulting debut EP “Here, Breathe This Liquid” is a genre-fusing collection of 5 tracks which resonate emotionally with listeners – especially ones who are into a deep listening experience, but also long-time genre fans looking for a fresh perspective on Ambient and Post-Rock music.
